  1. I was an 8 year old leafs fan living in New Hampshire when this happened. I lived in a neighborhood about 5 miles outside downtown. You could hear the celebrations from there.

  2. I remember this series well. After the bombing, there were lots of Boston Strong posters around. There was one image, I think in the Toronto newspaper of their mascot, Carlton the Bear ripping up one on these posters. I think that single action made the Boston fans, Lucic and team determined to “refuse to lose”.

  3. And with the standings the way they are now, we'll see history repeat itself again – Bs VS Leafs in Round 1, and we know how that movie ends by now 🙁

  4. I can’t imagine this as a hawks fan. God knows I’ve seen them lose in heartbreaking fashion in game 7 OT against the Canucks and the Kings. If the hawks win those series they could’ve had 2 more cups. That being said it’s hard to complain when they win 3 in 6 years.. they got all the bounces and the hockey gods smiled on Chicago after 59 years of hot garbage. 2010-2015 was incredible as a fan. Especially the 2013 season having a 20+ game point streak, the comeback against the Wings and the 17 seconds to win the cup in game 6 against the bruins. It was the best times of my life honestly. As a cubs fan I feel for the Leafs. At least I got to see them win the World Series after 108 YEARS.. the Leafs should be one of the top contenders every year but they always lose in dramatic fashion. Just like the Cubbies. Lovable losers. They’ll get theirs some day. I’ll be smiling and rooting for them when they do. I do hear awful things about their fans though lol. I’m hearing it from a Montreal fan though so I take it with a grain of salt 😂

  5. "Game 7 eastern confrence quarter finals" 😂 The way people talk about this game people make it seem like it was the finals 😂 Boston still had to win 3 more rounds…

  6. As a Canuck fan I'm still not sure how I feel about this. As much as I don't like that Bruins team, I think I enjoy laf fan's tears more. Yeah Yeah…I know…."at least we've won a cup". I don't care.

  7. I forgot Randy Carlyle was the coach of this roster that year. He took it out on my team(Edmonton Oilers) in the 2016-17 in Game 5 of the 2nd round. We were up 3-0 in the 3rd and the Ducks rallied late with 3 6v5 goals to push to OT. Kesler did grope Talbot for that 3rd one but it shouldn't have gotten to that point in the 1st place. Then we forced Game 7 and Carlyle and co made sure there was no comeback of any kind in that game.

  8. I was ~11 when this game happened. This game made me stop watching hockey for years. I loved the sport, but I couldn’t bring myself to cheer for a team again for ages because of the trauma from this game. The idea that whatever can go wrong will go wrong if I decide to actually care about a team still haunts me to this day.

  9. As a lifelong MN hockey fan, i’d KILL to have a game, or even a moment, THAT exciting or worth even half that much…

  10. I subbed long ago, gave the video a like, & commented for the algo, but I can't relive that day again.
    Love the channel.

  11. Steve Dangle has entered the chat…

All this hockey you allegedly watch and yet you incorrectly named Jack Edwards as the color commentator and not play-by-play…
