The most Buffalo way to lose is to pull the goalie way too early and allow an ENG, just to score what would have been the game tying goal right after… That's just how the season has gone. If Buffalo just took games into OT more frequently like some of the other OT merchant teams, they'd be in a much better spot in the standings.

the AVS are looking pretty strong with their new lineup. The 'Moose' was loose last night. Annunen actually didn't look all that great if you ask me. He gave up way too many rebounds.
When I consider the pieces put together by Chris MacFarland I have to wonder if the Avs scouting and analytics department have a different method of evaluation than the rest of the league, or was it just the in person scouting and in-depth film method that allowed MacFarland to swing for the fences and get the immediate results back from the March 8th deadline acquisitions? I won't really know how good this team is, as it is currently built, until round 1; and that has more to do with either being the C1, 2, or possibly 3 at season's end. I believe that being the C1 is a liability this season if the Preds keep playing the way they have been. That matchup will not be pretty… unless, as usual the greatest equalizer in professional sports occurs: injuries to the top horses. It's all conjecture at this point, but the 2nd season and round one will explain where the trade deadlines really fell in the scheme of things and if the pieces acquired worked in the playoffs. So far, so good. One of the best road trips by the Avs in a while.
Rangers and Jets game had potential of being another game like the Avs and Oilers from the other night but I think the Rangers were GASSED after the week they just had. Not taking anything away from the Jets, they played great and Hellebuyck looked amazing.
If Vegas misses the playoffs that would be the best thing to happen all year in the NHL lol
