They might be trying to exaggerate the extent of his injury as a deterrent for Seattle to not pick him.
Wherever he ends up, I hope it isn't anything too serious.
Seattle's doctors will reevaluate and say, ok strap on the pads. 😛 Or the other option is Habs go with Webber and Price on LTIR, then can't capitalize on that because they miss the palyoffs.
I seriously doubt the Kraken will take Price. $10Mil cap hit and if these injuries cause Carey to miss out on a portion of the '21-'22 season, Kraken might want to find other goalies. Methinks the Habs will lose Kulak, Tatar or Drouin.
Just some more fuel for the fire at this point. In fairness the habs got Allen so they could give him half the season off each year anyway. I doubt this has much impact on the Krakens decision, you can put up with a lot for the guy who played in the playoffs for MTL, and Knee and hip problems are nothing new for goalies.

This just in from Montreal … Carey Price has a knee injury that is so bad he will never play again. Shea Weber's foot fell off at the ankle. Paul Byron has a raging case of Herpes that has affected his vision and Johnathan Drouin shat out his colon last week and will need surgery to put it back in. Xavier Ouellet is feeling really, really, good though. In fact, we just saw him squat 1,000lbs and his speed has become unbelievable in the past two weeks. He is a true medical marvel! Oh, and Cale Fleury has …. a career-threatening case of chicken pox. But, remember what we said about Xavier Ouellet — he has developed super-powers and formed a school for "gifted" youngsters. If only we had known about Xavier Ouellet's powers before we gave our protected list to Seattle. I hope they don't find out. Please tell everyone you know not to tell them!
