    Yup – the crowds at UBS Arena and probably also in Carolina, and Tampa, and Dallas, and Minnesota, and all around the league. Everyone loves The Nature Boy but it’s time the Devils develop their own schtick.

    Can we say « thank you, Ric » and move on? New Jersey and the Devils have so much of their own culture and traditions that we can celebrate.

    I cant stand that we use Ric… love the Nature Boy but he’s a Carolina Guy through and through. The Canes are the only ones who should he using his stuff.

    Find us a jersey guy whose a Devils fan. Naitch isn’t ours

    I’ve never understood Ric Flair’s infiltration of the NHL and I honestly thought it was just an us thing until within the last year or so, which disappointed me to find out is not the case

    That said, I love it. Idc that he’s not a Jersey guy. This hype vid alongside the guy dressing up as him during the 17-18 playoffs who ended up being added to the vid are cemented in my brain as part of Devils Hockey Enjoyment™️. Same with the Lebowski « you see what happens, Larry » bit where they put the opposing team’s logo on the car getting smashed. Seeing that during the series against the Bolts invigorated my spirit as a certified Dudeist priest and I wish they used it more

    Edit: I recited about 95% of it while watching this and am smiling like a dumbass lol

    Bit off topic but I miss when they would play the Mars Attacks General shouting Kill Kill Kill for the first power play. Don’t think I’ve seen that in the last year or two.

    Thats part of the game day experience!

    For everything that happened with Hall, it always brings a little joy to my heart seeing the video where he is watching it and reciting it along with everyone else.
