We’ve missed the playoffs for so long I don’t even watch anymore. I don’t care about them at all. I’ll throw a game on as background noise but in terms of actually following a series, I’m just numb.

Used to watch the playoffs even if the Sabres weren’t in it because I loved hockey. That stopped years ago as Pegula’s ownership has sucked the hockey life out of me.

I’m looking forward to the playoffs for the first time in a long time. Have Reinhart to watch in the East and Mittelstadt to watch in the West. It’s not the same as the Sabres but looking at the glass half full…because the Sabres are a farm team for the NHL you have plenty of players to follow.

So close… needed to put a full game in. The longest losing, missing playoff steak in sports continues! Its like the Bills, clapping hands when they screw up. Encouraging mediocrity! Maybe next year Buffalo, but probably not.

Granato has taken them as far has he can we now need a coach that will kick some ass and make the players earn their ckecks

It’s not gonna happen next year or any year until the Sabres change their culture. Up 2-0 on Edmonton and all Kane had to do was put our whole team on tilt by mad dogging our goalie and yelling at Greenway across benches. Lost 8-1 over the next 42 minutes. Same story when we lost to Detroit last week and a dozen times this year and every year. Kings Wild game this week, Kings were up 5-0 and a wild player ran over their goalie, insta 2 min penalty for interference. No one on LA rushed to his aid and dropped gloves or retaliated. They took the power play and went up 6-0. Get guys like Rob Ray, who I loved as a player and analyst, out of there. It’s not the 90s. It’s a new hockey game. Having him around the players telling them how you gotta send a message and respond to dumb penalties with equal violence is a losing mentality in 2024. Teams out there are playing optimal hockey, focusing 100% of their effort on scoring and winning, but our teams culture has our players out there with a disrespect abacus keeping track of whose owed a hit and who are they mad at today.  13 years with no playoffs despite having insane talent. We’re a mentally weak team and better teams exploit that by getting under our skin. Frustrating to watch because it’s become embarrassingly predictable

  7. Watching the sabres in the springs of 2006 and 2007 are some of my favorite memories. I had my parents red Nissan Xterra decked out in all the goat stuff I could find. We would watch the games in the bar down town with 100 people cheering the boys on. Starting to think I’m never gonna have that much fun watching sports ever again.
