Would be cool if the numbers in the graphics were colour coded to hint the teams, like how Hockey Reference’s player pages show the numbers.

  2. FoxDown

Why are they in numerical order and not like… chronological?

Edit: especially if you’re going to have arrows between them lol.

  3. what a coincidence that they always picked a higher number

A list of guys that are good enough to play in the league for a while, but not good enough to earn a long term contract with a team. Guys that are good enough to be desired in a trade or signing, but not good enough to have enough seniority or clout to keep their number when they change teams.

  5. swagjones77

Devin Shore Seven Four should always be 74

  6. rocketmn69_

Geez, gather a set of his hockey cards..lol

  7. GeorgeGammyCostanza

Oilers love collecting jersey switching players.

  8. KenDanger2

The arrows between the numbers imply the chronological order, but since they are all ordered numerically I am guessing that this isn’t the case.

I wonder how many of these are voluntary and not, for example, because they got traded and the number was already occupied or retired on the new team.

Hunt wearing a different jersey in each game or what

Six number changes at age 28 is wild

Maroon will tie Pitlick once he steps on the ice in Boston wearing number 61.

There’s a couple where a player seems to have changed multiple times during their tenure with a team, and I can’t be bothered to search game logs.

  14. BuddahCall1

These guys are gonna win someone the Powerball

  15. Maleficent-Map6465

How about players who have worn the most amount numbers with a single team?

    Here’s looking at you Willy Nylander, #29, 39, 88

  16. BrodeurCinemaClub

Maroon wearing a half dozen numbers but never 5 is downright criminal.

  17. CostcoHotdogsHateMe

Maroon is gonna wear 61 in Boston.

  18. potatoes-pls

Poor Jack Johnson just sitting, waiting, wishing he could have a consistent number.

  19. rahlious

    Some player should do 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42

  20. sergei-boobtitsky

I don’t know what the record for most numbers worn with a single team is but Josh Anderson wore 3 different numbers with Columbus. 53, then 34, then 77.

Then ended up going with 17 in Montreal lol
