That was a long rant on how much the players in Buffalo and even around the NHL “love” Don Granato. However, If his own Sabres laying down and not putting 100% effort game in and game out AND allegedly so many NHL players around the league having Granato’s Sabres on their no trade lists, is their way of showing their “love” for Granato, Donny certainly wouldn’t want to coach players who hate him! 😂. Casey Middlestadt summed Granato’s coaching “style” up perfectly when he said he never practiced so “fast” under his beloved old coach Granato as he did under his new coach Bednar in Colorado. No wonder lazy players love playing for Granato so much, and the talented players who have the drive and desire to win that Adams continues to trade away every year do so well when they leave.
Would love Brind'Amour, but I can't see CAR letting him go. You make some good points about keeping Granato.
Mittelstadt ,Reinhart, Eichel, Montour, Ullmark players reaching their peak ( a sound core) traded; perpetual youth movement , Skinner should be a scratch even Olofson scores occasionally, Benson should be in juniors, Krebs ? Granato should call out players, limit ice time if needed, no excuses!

Come on Joe, of course they love Donnie, he doesn't hold any of them accountable. Their practices are easy, and they're allowed to make mistakes without worrying about getting benched because the coach doesn't believe in punishing his players. They can come play hockey and get paid that's all they care about. So no I don't agree with you. Donnie needs to go if this team will ever have a future.

We all know he (Granato) wont be fired. We have known for a while. If he was going to be fired, he would have been around the first 38 games in when Granato tried to make the team defensive. Adams said that Terry Pegula does not like to let go of employees that will still be paid (hence, Granatos 2 year extension starts next year)
If Alex Tuch doesn't like hearing chants, he can go now with Granato. This many losing seasons means blowing the team up or firing Granto and Addams. They will lose the war if they go to war with Granto. This is beyond talking. Stop going to the games. I feel so much hope has been lost. Every year, my son would ask, " How is the Sabres going to be this year?" And the fool me has said, "Oh, I think they will do really good." Sabre players forget about playing real hockey: " We don't even have to hit, and our coach doesn't say anything about it."

FIRE THE ENTIRE COACHING STAFF. GMKA needs to make some noise this off-season. Starting with the coaching staff. Trade away some prospects and take a run at Jake or Sammy.
Put the "C" on Dahlin already. Trade away some prospects and bring some real talent to the roster. Bring up JIRI & Krebs , Girgs, Ollie, Bryson, Jost can beat it.
Not putting peterka with tuch and thompson is one reason I'd toss granato.

Sorry, your take on Gransto doesn't hold water. The players may love him but, his team rarely shows up
and plays 60 minutes of hockey. That's a direct reflection of the coaching staff.
