People say this about Rantanen at some point EVERY year it’s so criminal. And by people I mean Avs fans. And by Avs fans I mean the vocal minority on social media
Only the people that don’t pay attention to him thought this.
He’s just so incredibly talented that he makes things look simple. And for some reason that makes people think hes lazy. Which is just an insane thought process. Jokic gets a lot of very similar comparisons and they’ve never made any sense either.
He had a short dry spell and he seemed frustrated while playing. I empathized with him and never doubted!
He’s definitely producing well, but he’s had some seriously bad games this year. He’s been pretty good lately (minus some really bad turnovers).
If he can hit 45 goals this year that’ll be 100 over 2 seasons. Never doubt the moose 🫎
I think getting snubbed for ASG brought his play/emotion down a bit. Or maybe it was just a cold streak around the same time. But he is obviously always in the shadows of MacKar, and I hope that has less to do with it than I think. But man when he’s hot like he is right now, holy smokes
