As a Leafs fan, and I can speak for many, we have seen this much too often. A couple years ago, this was the MO for the Leafs. 40 minutes of no show and then bring the rain for the last 20. I feel your pain. It's frustrating.

With the additions to this club I would have expected a concerted effort against a club they should be much better than. Makes me think the only player that gives a crap is the third star of the game. Sad effort boys. Get out of your fog.
They played so bad I feel like they threw the game for the odd makers. I knew they were not as good as everyone thinks they are but this is pathetic. They won't make it past the first round, and this, in my opinion is the beginning of the end of their cup chances. Period
The Oilers don't have the goaltending and defense to win the Cup.
Periods #1 and #2 – Poor play from most Oilers and awful play from some Oilers including: $9 million a year defenseman Nurse (-2), lazy and defensively slow Bouchard (-2) and Skinner, who allowed 5 goals on 16 shots and finished with a 0.78 SV%. In the third period, the Oilers replaced the pathetic Skinner, and Pickard stopped all 5 shots at the goalie. McDavid/Hyman/Draisaitl tried to get back into the game, but it was too late.🤣 To win the game, the Oilers must play well for the ENTIRE 60 minutes of the game, and ALL the Oilers must contribute to the end result, not just the McDavid/Hyman/Draisaitl line)) 😇 Amen!😇

Lazy defensemen. I wish i knew what goes on in Bouchards head? Janmark and Brown would make better defensemen most nights.
Why can’t they develop a set play to recover the puck in their end and move it out. Bouchard is the worst, but the entire defence is terrible. I’m sure the entire league has figured it out, dump and chase.
Let’s not forget that some of the third period rallies by the Oilers are also a result of the opposition taking the foot off the pedal (depending on how big a lead they have). Either way, the fact that they insist on attempting short little passes off the boards in their own zone, rather then hitting it off the glass and out, or make the safer play to just get it out of their zone, is really starting to get on my nerves. 70% of the goals they give up are from defensive zone boneheaded plays.
Keep that up and they’re going to be feasted on by the likes of Vegas and Vancouver, let alone Colorado or Dallas.

They’re just to cocky and non caring about quickness. Bouch and dri always have to “set up” and they always lose the fucking puck. I don’t care how good they are START FUCKKNG PLAYING HARD EVERY SHIFT
I find every game I’m ready to turn the tv off at some point but then, usually, they turn it around and make it watchable. If these guys could consistently play 60 minute games there aren’t many teams that can beat us. But lazy, sloppy, careless play has become the norm for part of each game.
Defence wins championships. I’m sure they could find somebody way better than Bouchard on the ice ,poor player

Tyson, agree 100%. I add that Skinner . . . he needs another year or 2. On these big games, start playing Pickard till he loses a game, then skinner till he loses, etc. How we ever gonna win the cup?
