You ever read about the Miracle on Ice Story? What Herb Brooks put that young talented group through to get them ready for the Russian Red Army?? Whoa. That was nuts….but it paid off.
So they need to wake up and watch the loss to Florida last year, I would make them watch it. Great Job Monty, lets go! wake up time.
The coach ripping the club a new one was well overdue. Since last year's record breaking regular season, the Bruins have gotten so used to winning, even when they weren't in top form they've allowed poor habits to enter into their game and now can't get them out. Their MVPs to date are Ullmark and Swayman who've done their best to cover the Bruins' lack of a stout, rugged D behind their blue line making it easier for the other team to tie the score or go ahead late in games. Having Matt Grit-less in the line up is like having a flat tire on your car. You won't get anywhere unless all four are inflated. When teams crowd the crease, he's unable to clear the area. Up here in Toronto, I've heard on air heads describe the B's as frauds. No. They are what their record says they are. This roster fails to have enough players for whom body checking is part of their profile. More brawn was needed to augment the top end guys. During a between period segment on HNIC last Saturday, the panelists were asked who they expected to come out of the Eastern Conference in the playoffs. The Rangers and Carolina were mentioned. Kevin Bieksa said something that stuck with me. To paraphrase, he said he saw the Panthers emerging out of the East because they play every game like it's a "street fight." That's the kind of mentality I want the Bruins to adopt over these last 10 regular season games as they head into the playoffs. I'm hopeful but I don't see this group having the mentality to do so.
These players have been so disengauged and lazy. Its like they refuse to play hard game after game. They play hard for 2 games to tell each other" hey we can win in this league ", THEN they take games off. Players just drop off the face of the Earth. Top 6 has never been firing on all cylinders not one time!? Lately bottom 6 has been outplaying top 6. Marchy our Captain has 1 goal in last 15 games!? Are you kidding me!? Every player is so inconsistent. God forbid they try to play their best hockey every game!? I dint care if they lose as long as the effort is there!? It hasnt been, very damning
I hope Brad's comments were directed at himself as well as his team. He's been making more mistakes than anybody else out there on the ice for the B's.

Bruins are not hungry enough for a cup. I feel they think they've worked hard enough for thier pay.
They are lazy, no forecheck, bairly any offense. Bruins are my favorite team, but so sad to see the lack of drive to earn that cup! SAD….

Wow, got a good win in regulation tonight, I think Monty needs to put that snarl in his practices more often, hope we can string a few wins together this week to help get our confidence back up
