@Capitals de Washington

1. Washington Capitals than pop into my head AFTER Ovechkin…Peter Bondra. I wanted to say Adam Oates, but he is a Bruin to me as well. So yeah, Peter Bondra!

  2. TJ Oshie for me. I knew him before the USA shootout when he played for the blues and i wish we still had him. he has been just so good for so long

  3. With the Habs, Lingren was a victim of Price, because, he was not bad with the Habs.

  4. Charlie Lidgram. We in Russia watch every game and when they put Darcy (hole) in the goal, we already know that he will miss at least five goals and will do everything to make the team lose heart. Why doesn’t the coaching staff see this so stubbornly? He kills all hope. It’s good that Charlie is there, but it’s bad that he also needs rest and then Washington loses (with rare exceptions)

  5. That pass against Toronto was one of the worst hockey plays I think I've ever seen, just lucky it worked out.

  6. McMichael, Lapierre, and Miroschishenko all look good and Caps finally have some solid young players. Lapierre in OT started 2 rushes by protecting the puck from Raymond early in OT and then on DeBrincat to start the OT winning goal rush.

  7. As a life long caps fan and the only sports jersey I’ve ever purchased being Ovi, Stromer is slowly becoming my favorite hockey player

  8. I don’t understand why people mental toll’s don’t have effects on Hockey Players. David Pastrnak dipped in scoring in the 21-22 season after the tragic death of his son and bounced back the next year. Same thing applies to the passing of Ovi’s father.

  9. Peter Bondra, Olaf Kölzig, Mike Gartner and Jaromír Jágr. Also Michal Pivoňka for some reason. How crazy is it that Capitals had THREE players who managed to score over 700 goals throughout their careers?

  10. Gotta give huge props to the young guys stepping up into the 1C and 3C spots in McMichael and Lapierre

  11. To me, the capitals are in a rebuild because they're now developing their young prospects by letting them play for the big club, now they're playing well because their development is going good and if they make it I say they've earned it. Also for how much milano and oshie have been injured this year they've been great.

  12. Darcy is trash, let me start with that. The name that pops into my head franchise wise for the Caps is Tom Wilson, he will most likely be the next Captain. I'd say Oshie is possible as well but he needs to get healthy, I feel like he's always beat up. A close 3rd would be John Carlson but as great of a player as he is, I don't feel like he has the same level of spirit and leadership that Wilson and/or Oshie would have. One man's thoughts, other than the Darcy comment, that's just a fact.

  13. Great analysis, couldn't agree more and it's great to see them get some recognition

  14. Another name that totally stood out last night was Hendrix Lapierre. He was an absolute dog in OT and has taken a big step this year.

  15. Green, Ovechkin, Backstrom and Semin were a blast to watch in the "young gun" days racking up the goals. The play of Aliaksei Protas has impressed me this season — he has matured as a two way player and is making an impact when not scoring. He's worked on his skating and often surprises players with his incredible reach and smart stick

  16. record or not he is the greatest goal scorer of all time. Simple eye test proves such.

  17. Ahh it will be a sad day when Ovechkin gets that record, maybe he can do Canada a solid and just ya know, retire and go home before then?

  18. That's the problem with the wings. No one is stepping up. Everyone is in a shell and is scared to come out and play…except for larkin kane and Raymond. Everyone is is stuck in a shell and doesn't wanna step up when needed most. Team full of kids. No one can do anything special or exceptional. Whole team of mid players. And it is showing big time.

  19. As a lifelong caps fan and aside from ovi, I always ofc think of backstrom, wilson, oshie, carlson, green, brouwer, orpik, chimera, holtby, eller or smith pelly. Those guys were exactly why the caps were on of the biggest forces of the 2010s and why the 2010s was no doubt the best decade in team history
