I know it's corny but my whole thought with this team is they need to learn how to win. Getting outplayed by Toronto in the 1st period, and surviving, even if it means Jake Allen completely bailed them out: the takeaway is that they didn't waste his great first period and played really well in the 2nd and 3rd. There's such a thing as timely goals too: the 1-1 goal by Luke and the 3-3 goal by Timo were just huge. They found a way.
Contrast the Toronto game with the Ottawa game: half-assed efforts and dumb mistakes, enough that Allen couldn't save the day. I would love to see them not revert to Ottawa form against Buffalo. Jump on the Sabres and don't let them think they can win.
From today until tuesday: -The red wings play the Hurricanes, Panthers, and Lightning -The Caps play the Leafs, Bruins, and Sabres -The devils play the sabres and penguins.
