Great show guys. The Penguins chances of making the playoffs are unlikely, but it would be the most Penguin like scenario that they go on a massive winning streak, but miss the playoffs by 1 point. You would turn to the 10 OT losses where they left points on the table.
Again, unlikely to happen, as this team hasn’t won more than 5 games in a row, but that would be the most Penguin like scenario lol.

Amazing they finally figured out (probably dumb luck) our first PP is much better with Geno blasting shots from the point (being fed by Tanger not EK). With a crease rat like Bunting on the PP it's insane to not use Malkin's missiles.
Geno could've had 4 or 5 points….Jackets goalie was outstanding

Just my opinion … but I think they are going to have to find a winger this summer to drive the Malkin line. Malkin can still play … he's not washed … but he can't be "Malkamania" anymore either, so he needs that winger now in his career, and Rakell and Smith just aren't that kind of winger. I also think Crosby can still drive his own line with Rust and whoever you put at LW. So priority 1 for the top 6 is to find a winger to really help the 2nd line. Easier said than done, of course.

All the Pens need to do is have Geno's parents attend every game, next season…he may break some Gretzky single season records…
The goaltending thing has been an issue, all season, from the perspective that they've either been really hot, or really not. The Pens D has done a great job of keeping shot numbers low, in most games, especially the high danger shots, but when the D breaks down, which they do far more often than they have, in the past, they're giving up a lot of primo shots, during those breakdowns. And those defensive breakdowns are just such bone-headed plays, by one player (usually), that they, usually, end up in the back of the net, because they're hanging the goalie out to dry.
And then you start to see Jarry and Ned do things that they normally don't do, because they're starting to not trust the defense, in front of them…going down early, moving off the post early, etc.
Its funny to hear the jackets gave won in Pittsburgh since 2015, cause that's true for register season, i was at a preseason game against the jackets in 2021 and the jackets beat the pens 3-0 that night, so unfortunately that time they wanted to win here and shut us out😂
I was really impressed by tarasov. The pens win by 3 or 4 goals if it wasnt for him. I don't think it was a great effort by the pens until they took the lead in the 3rd. Then they shutdown columbus for the rest of game. They should beat Columbus Saturday but it's the nhl and anything can happen. I would stick with nedeljkovic for this game. He's been a bit better then jarry lately. I don't know what it is with jarry. He'll play good for 2/3 of a season and fall off at the end. I think it might be his conditioning. Maybe he can't hold up to 50 to 60 starts a season
I’ve gotta say, I absolutely love the defense I’m seeing from St. Ivany!! The kid is a gamer. Need to keep him in! Graves out of the lineup = winning streak 😁 The PP with Geno taking one timers with bunting screening, Sid close by for rebounds, I think should be the way to go the rest of the season. We’re playoff bound boys. 😂
Chances of us landing Patrick Kane for Geno’s line next season? 😂
