    RIP Slaf point streak

Shame we couldn’t beat Kotchetov once

  2. HabChronicle

carolina hurricanes are the most boring team ever

  3. Throaway44009988

Carolina owns us man, this shit is pathetic at this point. Thank god KK has turned out to be such a disaster, only redeeming point we have.

This might be unpopular, but id waive anderson next training camp and not even look back

  4. bcgrappler

Next year, let’s not play Carolina on Slaf’s BDay.

  5. Carolina is a very frustrating team to go against. I don’t know how its possible to play this aggressive for an entire game without getting gassed.

  6. bcgrappler

Sens win, big time tank game. Still fuck Carolina their stifling forecheck

  7. GuneRlorius

Shame on you Canes for killing Slafs point streak on his bday 🙁

  8. HabitApprehensive889

    Frustrating game.

    Yet another special teams loss.

  9. tehsdragon

Welp, our winstreak had to end eventually. Sucks that it had to be a shutout though

  10. If the season ended now, we would draft 6th and 23rd

For me the games against the Canes and the Sens are always the most frustrating games of the season. Habs can’t play against them like did they ever won a game against them since the whole Aho, KK thing ? Suzuki can’t never score against them too it’s just so fucking frustrating

Kept Kotkaniemi off the scoresheet at least (which is a difficult task this season).

Starting to wonder if the front office is *too* patient now. The power play just shouldn’t be this bad. I don’t know a good site/tool. How do you check power play stats from a certain date? Say all star break?

On a positive note the Sens won so we’re in sole possession of 6th last and with that win Winnipeg is pretty well out of the running for the Central.

Colin White really does not seem to want to take the opportunity his former agent offered him. All he had to do was show up and pretend to give a shit. He plays like his family has a nice Swiss home set up already for next year

  14. Akhurite

You can tell he was trying to keep the point streak alive because that was the best game I’ve ever seen Slaf play

    *BAD*

    – Was not actually terrible play. Just One of those games where like in 5 mins in you kinda go idk something feels like it’s going to be a tough night in the goal department.

    – If the first line isn’t on persay, which they actually were decent, there is just nothing after. The middle 6 is a bit of an issue because as of now we have Roy and Newhook. Perhaps someone is slipping my mind here but that’s all as of now. Oh also Dach.

    – Matheson had one, or a few, of his errors.

    – Harris obviously with Guhle out playing too much. But it was rough, don’t really see the future here with the loaded Habs young blue line. We will see, maybe he bounces back.

    *GOOD*

    – Canes goalie did goalie them. Habs were not bad just could not score.

    – Armia noticeable out there as per usual lately. Although I’ve missed some games lately I think overall he has had a good year.

    – Slafkovsky point streak went away. But I mean good again.

    – Newhook noticeable again I don’t think he ever tops out in the top 6 but a really useful third liner basically he fits.

I’m on year 4 of never understanding a word Monty says in interviews. It’s like someone hits the 2x button every time he speaks.

  17. whogivesashirtdotca

Jordan Harris, on his play tonight: « Yeah, I didn’t think it was that bad… »

    Uh, Jordo…

  18. TiffanyStratton

terrible game. i hate watching canes hockey

  19. Top_Contract_4910

Everyone complaining about Matheson is really missing how much we rely on him. He plays the 5th most minutes of any Dman in the league and he is 3rd in scoring on the team with 51 points. He has been one of the main reasons our pk has looked great recently, combined with Savard and Ghule, and offensively speaking he has been the difference maker in a ton of games for us. He had helped the habs win a Iot more games this year than they should’ve.

  20. Habsfan_2000

We need to tank so no worries about the outcome.

  21. whogivesashirtdotca

« We didn’t fail tonight; we just didn’t *win*. » – MSL in his postgame.

They talked to Monty, Gally, Slaf, and all of them sounded chipper after being shutout. It’s really nice to hear the confidence and resilience in Marty’s boys. Bodes well for next year.

  22. Dnarud_Leirbag

Well… 3rd lost for Montreal while I’m there (once by year)

    Feeling not that good lol

  23. Olibro64

On this day 3 years ago the Habs shutout the Oilers 4-0.

    As for tonight…..they tried.
