It’s shocking. We have a goalie, we have to give him starts and develop him and be patient. Justus isn’t starting caliber YET but I think he’s won the backup job 100%.

I’m still with Georgiev. He had 1 or 2 vezina votes last year, in his first year as a starter, and he’s an undrafted FA. Just a sophomore slump. Definitely needs to clean up his early game, but the second half of games he’s a top 10 if not top 5 goalie.

Justus isn’t going to be Frankie. Not yet. But the kid is stout, he plays well, and he’s getting better. He’ll never be Francouz, but those are big skates to fill and he’s doing well enough to get my vote.

It was a great decision for Bednar to pull Georgiev and change the tempo of the game.

Georgiev and Annunen are good enough goalies for this team. We prioritize our cap space on the insane team in front of the goalie. Can’t have Vassy or Shesterkin caliper goalies and the team we have, just not really possible to do both these days.
