I love it! This guy is solid. He's been a breath of fresh air on the Leafs D. If you have Edmondson, McCabe, and Benoit, the Leafs zone isn't as much fun for opponents to run around in as it used to be. Even entering the zone makes guys keep their head up.
I like that signing, he has been quietly effective….its a good deal, money is fair and term is good for SB.
What level of drugs do you need to be on to think that Timmons should be higher on the Defensive list than Edmondson?
Timmons is not even a legit NHL defender .. he should be in the AHL. Has not played well this year … so long as we dont keep TJ or Lili i am happy.
This is a great signing. I was worried there would be trouble when they were sitting him out in favor of Brodie, who has struggled this season. He has more than earned the contract. Now it will be interesting to see what happens in the summer with LyBushkin, Edmonson, Brodie, and Liljegeren. I can't see Brodie returning, even at a deal of 3.5M x 2. He's getting eaten alive by the fan base and media. Liljegren, who knows… he shoots right, so they'll likely extend him 1.6M x 2
