  1. Bill Berg really missed an opportunity to ice it with an empty net Michigan goal in the last minute

  2. This takes me back! 4 lines with defined roles and every player committed to playing their part.

  3. Geez almighty if the current maple leafs had a defence somewhat similar to this maple leafs team they would be a wrecking ball!

  4. if the 2024 leafs had 1/8th the balls and 1/16th the heart this team did theyd have 4 cups in a row

  5. Bob Cole and Harry Neal….there has never been, nor will there ever will be a better duo

  6. Anybody else remember heading out somewhere but first having to wait 5 minutes in front of the TV until thr announcers mentioned the score or they put it up as they went to a commercial….

  7. Was it st Louis or San Jose when Toronto peppered the other team with sixty shots or was it the other way? Was a long time ago I also remember a ot and I think a ping off the cross bar off the Toronto net… Maybe it was game six?

  8. Felix Potvin was my favorite goalie and the reason I started play hockey at 7 years old. I'm still a goalie now . GO LEAFS GO!!!

  9. My god, the amount of hooking and interference in that era is shocking. And it only got worse for the next ten years! An average ref would have rightfully called at least 30 extra penalties (and i'm under estimating!) a side in today’s game. Good riddance on all that stuff i say.

  10. 🥳Listen to that crowd. You'll never hear that these days at SBA. Man, I miss Maple Leaf Gardens. It was a different crowd in those days because almost everyone could afford a ticket to watch the games. Not many people can afford a ticket these days, so you have a very different crowd these days… a much more restrained one IMO.

  11. I was 12 watching this. My Dad was 44. He always told me that nothing is crazier in Toronto than when the Leafs won the cup. Now it doesn’t look like we will ever see them win one together because he will be dead soon and the Leafs are losers. John Tavares is a loser. If u like the Leafs, that makes u a loser too.

  12. Im pleased with the outcome because i loved seeing the winner get slapped silly by the canucks in the next round. All their big names and hype couldnt even make it a close series.

  13. What a different game. A more exciting game. The stick play and just general freedom to let the boys play.
