That’s the Maple Leafs Stanley Cup.
He's gotta be the first California born 60-plus goal scorer.
1:20 “after another minute of squeaky bum time” 😂
There's no easy path. It doesn't matter who the Leafs face. Go Leafs go!
They broke the curse last year…
Boston. They need to redeem themselves from countless priors. If it ain't Boston, it don't mean squat.
Lol 'we want florida' 😂
AM will score 64-66 maximum.
This game showed both ways a series between Florida and Toronto can go. Toronto did so well in the first two periods but were embarrassed in the third.
Wow where was the penalty on Montour before Matthews got the Empty net
The Leafs would have immediately lost any chance they have of beating the Panthers in a playoff series if they lost that game after being 5-1 up.
"Overtime point merchants" is such a fitting insult for my Bruins; we've really got to clean that up for the start of the real season. At least we have a gauntlet to keep us sharp through the last few games
At the beginning of the year I said 71. I'm sticking to it. Lol
Leafs fan here, “We want Florida”
The current NHL playoff structure is a dog fight for every team in the first round especially the 2vs3 bracket that takes down good teams too soon.
I wanna play Flordia because I think the leafs are trying to send a message that there not the same as last year and I think beating Flordia is a big goal and also we got swept in the Boston season series anything can happen in the playoffs but playing Boston in round 1 honastly not great probably the worst matchup for round 1 I think beating Flordia in round 1 (if that happend) would give them momentum agienst Boston or the other team if they win
Doesnt matter who they play, gotta beat the best to be the best.
If the leafs win the Stanley cup without going through Boston they’ll never let us live it down. We have to slay the dragon.
If winning the first round, whether it's against Boston or Florida, is too hard, what's the point of having any Stanley Cup aspirations? (I have none actually, but that's besides the point)
I think Matthews would still be on 70 goal pace if Marner weren't hurt for the past 10 or so games. Unfortunate, but I think he'll be happy with passing Ovi's cap-era record of 65. 70 can come next year
They want New Jersey
I think we will see another Matty hatty from papi for sure
Everyone knows who the Leafs wants to play in the first round…. it's golf, they wanna play golf. 😂
Bro's gonna end up with 67 goals and everyone know it. Samsonov just got his 100th win in his 167th game, the number haunts them LMAO
Any other team as good as the leafs would probably want the bruins, but the bruins have the leafs' number so panthers and hope the bruins get knocked out
I would rather get Boston over with. I know the whole "it was 3-1" thing but so does Boston, and the Panthers have been shaky lately while the Bruins keep trucking. And moreover the Bruins have the Leafs number. The only way we get the cup is by beating Boston eventually. They're gonna keep making the playoffs so we have to find a way to beat them regardless.
The Leafs gotta have the mentality that who they play doesn't matter but getting home ice does
I want Toronto Vs Boston and Tampa vs Florida. Those would be great to watch. I'm not really here thinking "oh this team would be better to face". I want "this team would be more entertaining to watch"
Austin Matthews is on pace to score less then 50 playoff goals in his entire career, I honestly think people forget none of his goals so far have resulted in no banners in his almost 10 years of playing in the NHL the fact that you have a guy like this and still haven't won a divisional championship yet? I just think he's good at scoring on bad goalies but his numbers go down during the playoffs because he's up against way better goaltending come spring, He's overrated.
Zach Hyman can almost do it – for half price
