I’m confused on the rules about how many we can have active on the roster. I thought we were at 23 and therefore maxed?
Are we free to sign because it’s after the trade deadline?

Lots of teams carry ‘Black Aces’ during playoffs in case guys get hurt/get them experience with NHL players/staff. Seems like that would be his role, which will help him get acclimated to the Canes way and all.

As long as he doesn’t play 10 games it doesn’t burn a season of his entry level deal. What I don’t know is how playoff games factor into that.

So I’ve heard of him but not seen him play. What do we think his peak potential is?
