  1. I wouldn’t use “confident,” but I will say I think this team has a chance of going deeper than years prior. I think it will really depend on what lines Keefe is throwing out there, though.

  2. The sense of camaraderie and solidarity in this thread is truly heartwarming. It's like being among friends.😻

  3. The common denominator of Leaf playoff disappointments is the – Leaf Core 4 not thriving with playoff officiating. 😀 They play the critical minutes. Marner drops 27% in the playoffs and Matthews has zero playoff elimination game winning goals. So why are some Leaf fans expecting an Eastern Conference Final appearance from the Leafs this year? 😀

  4. that last game against florida. when reaves came off the bench for his 2nd or 3rd shift in the 1st period. he just straight up went into the offensive zone and hit 3 seperate players. was his greatest moment as a leaf and thats why we got him.

  5. I think my favorite part of video recommendations is seeing the new Dangle videos for all the fantastic things the Leafs have done this season…and the videos from every Leafs playoff elimination for the past 5-odd years right above/below them.

  6. Mr. Dangle, I am completely shocked at your take on Ryan Reaves in saying he is horrible, he is not meant to be a goal scorer and or an assist type of guy, he is there to intimidate the other team as to if a star player gets hit, the other team knows well hey this guy is coming after me. He is supposed to give that X-Factor into which he can pump up the crowd with a scrum and or scrap if need be.

  7. Knies was effective because he was playing on the puss marners line and he brought some Feistiness. They have enough guys to bring that now and I honestly think Marner should not be put back on the top line. He is just too easy to neutralize and if you neutralize him, no one is getting Matthews the puck, which also neutralizes him. I think it would be a terrible mistake to have them on the same in for the playoffs

  8. I like this Leafs lineup but if you look at the last 10 or so Cup champs, their biggest strengths were defense and goaltending. Some had the complete package (lightning, Blackhawks). But I think this team needs to score a lot of goals to make a deep run cuz they don’t have a great defense or goalie. The core 4 need to be elite. We’ll see what happens but that’s my hesitation with them.

  9. I think they go 11 and 7 especially if it's Florida. Florida's best quality is their forcheck so having a 7th d would be huge over 7 games
    Here we go
    Bertuzzi Matthews Domi
    Mcmann Johnny Willy
    Knies Holmberg Mitchy
Reavo and Kampf (you could get Matthews away from top d on line 3 for a shift, and Mitch can go up with line 1) . Just no jarnkrok which would be Holmberg out but there are pretty similar roles except ones a center.

  10. Leafs will win playoff series without Marner..kid plays scared and cost the series everytime with no remorse.

  11. No ones afraid of reaves. What’s the worst that happens. A split lip if you fight reaves ? This notion of guys not getting hit because there’s a reaves to deal with is hilarious

  12. Its a good problem to have having to take out guys that are producing, hopefully tho this just makes everyone more hungry for ice time

  13. The leafs 2nd half schedule has been tough. This makes the 25 wins big. Leave the Mathews line alone. Those 3 guys have gelled.

  14. So Steve ?? You’re having an issue who they sit with Marner coming back into the line up ??? Our best penalty killer, our best 200ft player ! Our best defensive forward ! The guy who drives the power play and every line he plays on !!! Time to take a step back and rethink,,, I love the way the team is rallying to win games without Marner but he’s not sitting when he’s ready to come back

  15. We have heart this year with domi tuzzi reeves and Benoit. It’s just a different team. The regular season isn’t the team we have. It’s a playoffs team.

  16. I'm a Leaf fan have been since pre '67. However you just never know what leaf team is gonna show up for a game let alone a playoff game. They have the talent but they seem to squander leads and look like crap half the season. I wonder where this team would be without Austin and Mitch….

  17. Confidence in any Leaf's line-up is like believing in the government, as long as Keefe is the coach… he will always do whatever it takes to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory… like how he goes full defensive mode with any lead going into the third period, and surprise surprise, the lead becomes a tie or loss

  18. For the Leafs to go deep into the playoffs, the core 4 need to produce, they need to be physical and protect each other when necessary, finally, defense and goaltending has to be solid! Consistency for 60 minutes or beyond? GO LEAFS GO!!!!

  19. I'm not sure how I feel towards this year's team going in to playoff vs Last Year's line up. I'm not excited for playoffs at all 😂
