Tij is an amazing player but realistically there’s better prospects that we could go for. I get that he’s another iginla and everyone wants to see him with the red c but we shouldn’t just hone in on him because of his name especially when there’s better players available.

The Habs have enough young talent in their system where if they want to take Iginla that much higher than he’s rated they’re probably fine with that. The Flames should not make a reach pick. This Franchise needs to nail the next 3 drafts and that might mean not drafting Tig Iginla. They can’t mess up this pick

Honestly that just means someone projected to go low drops. Hoping it’s Catton

Let’s just trade for him whenever he ends up in Dallas.

This is going to be a tough draft. If we take Iginla some fans are mad because “we only drafted because of name”. If we take someone else fans are mad we didn’t draft Iginla and we have to watch him play for another NHL team. I’m of the opinion that he’s just as good as anyone in that 8-14 range and regardless of his last name drafting a rising stock player in their draft year is never a bad idea. There is of course who is father was and all that as well which cannot be ignored but I feel like many fans who are saying we shouldn’t take him wouldn’t be that opposed to it if he wasn’t related to Iggy. Like he’s not getting talked about just because he’s an Iginla. He’s a damn good player and earned his way onto this conversation
