Am i in the future?
2 Russian goalies in the USA with the Flyers and Phantom and one back in the Russian Lower Division.
My biggest question marks on this team is who will be the number 1 goalie now that Carter Hart is gone and where are they going to get mor offensive in a system where a team is blocking shots. I don't think a lot better offensive players are going to want to play that style of hockey.
I loved what Torts had to say in his presser, and I'm on board with it. My wife was watching it with me, and she agrees, too. She's a self-employed love coach — she helps women over 40 find that "lasting love" with the right person. Part of what she needs to teach and get across to her clients is what Torts talks about… a change in mindset and beliefs in order to get not only what you want but also what you NEED. (She tells me the Flyers have an "upper limits" problem and that she can straighten them out. 😀 )
But she isn't wrong about the mindset. I credit my Army drill sergeants and my first platoon sergeant for showing me what Torts is talking about. I'm a much better person for it. Granted, I hated it all when I was going through it, but it's what I needed. No matter where you are or what you do, your mindset along with knowing how to push yourself to your limits are invaluable to life and success. You hear the same from some of Torts' previous players. I hope they get it all straightened out these last six games. Geez, we need these points.
Thanks for all you do, Jason! Love the pods.
Great interview with Fedotov, Jason! It is really admirable for him to do interviews in English. His story is one of perseverance and I am beyond impressed with him. It is great that we already have some fellow Russian players on the team who will help in his assimilation. I hope he is a longtime Flyer and I appreciate the exclusive content!
I like Ivan, it seems like he has strong nerves. It seems like there are two types of goalies. Nerves of steel or total head case
GREAT INTERVIEWS I HOPE TORT WHEN HE STEPS DOWN ITS HIS LAST STOP SINCE I HAVE BEEN A 12 YEAR OLD KID WATCHING THE BROAD ST BULLIES AND SHERO HE'S MY FAVORITE COACH AND HOPE THIS IS HIS FINAL STOP WHEN HE SAYS GOODBYE LISTEN TO EVERY INTERVIEW AND THIS TEAM HAS DONE AN AMAZING JOB THIS YEAR AND LOOK AT ALL THE SHIT THEY BEEN DEALING WITH GOD BLESS THE PHILADELPHIA FLYERS AND GOD BRING BACK KATE SMITH.
