Probably not. He’s fresh in the NHL and they don’t want to drop him on the ice before they’ve dutifully prepared him for that madness.

Not unless there’s a pretty substantial injury. But there’s not really a reason to rush him anyway. Give him this time to train with an NHL team and maybe get a game or two to rest someone else before playoffs. In the off-season he can bulk and then get a look during training camp.
