I have a son who plays minor hockey at an age where fighting and hitting is not yet part of the game. I really hope fighting continues to be phased out of the game. I understand consequences and accountability, and that fighting keeps cheap shots in check, but I can only imagine the fear and concern I would feel if it was my son down there having his head bashed in with thousands of cheering fans. Will those same people be cheering on these players in 15 years when the CTE symptoms present?
