Deserved. Dude put his « bottes de travail », never complained and worked hard

Can someone create a Joel Armia apology form?
Me and several others would do well to fill one out

Definitely a worthy nomination. Worked his ass off, didn’t complain, and really turned things around. Always liked the guy so I’m glad he turned a corner this year, especially recently.
I’d imagine Freddy Andersen or Kylington will end up winning it, but a great honour for the one man Armia nonetheless

I hope he gets to 20 goals. What a story that would be. SNET and TSN would likely ignore it though lol. Some 60 goal scorer might have a photo shoot to report on.

So considering the results from Armia and Xhekaj, who else should we send to Laval? These guys have both improved drastically after some AHL time.

One Man Armia shutting the haters up.
Mark my words, this will be Andy next season.

Imagine if Mario wins, KH will have a hard time deciding whether to extend him, or trade him. We’ll see….

Just a reminder that Armia worked a lot with Jean Francois Menard (Mental Performance Coach) this season and this is probably a big reason for the success of Armia this season. The fans always believed that Armia was a bit lazy sometime, but from what we hear from the people around him (coach, teammates, media that interviewed him, etc) it seem that he cared a LOT, put a lot of pressure on himself and that got into this head.
Hopefully, the work he did with Menard will help him for the rest of his career. Obviously not on the same scale, but it’s similar story to what MacKinnon did several years ago. Not easy to ask for that kind of help, especially in the hockey culture.

This is a great choice.
He worked hard, never complained, and the results are showing. He’s playing good hockey now.

Won’t fall for that one again

I wonder if he has trade value now. 22 goal, 30 point pace over an 82 game season for 1 more year at 3.4m.

As cool as it would be for Armia to win, Drouin pretty much has it locked down this year
