This will be the litmus test to see who actually watches west coast games

That article really showed how great hughes is defensively. Makar is an amazing defenceman but seems like he’s struggled defending this year.

Thanks for sharing. You should post this in r/hockey.

Somebody help Dobson. Geez. Lol. But yeah, I think the PK point is overrated for Makar. And I know with advanced analytics the +/- stat is pretty much dead, but for old school fans. Huggy is brutalizing Makar, and the rest of the Norris contenders, in that regard too. He’s been absolutely unreal. I don’t see a world where he isn’t the unanimous choice for Norris. Call me a homer.

I’ve watched many Canucks games with the opposing teams feed this season, and one thing that really stood out to me is how much the commentators of other teams are impressed by Hughes, so much so that several of them have outright said that Hughes has been better than Makar this season and will win the Norris. Some of them are commentators of Eastern teams which shows even the East is taking notice.

Someone share this with the voters.

Hughes and it’s not even close.

    Guys

    It won’t be close

    Hughes wins in a landslide

Thankful for this article. I’m tired of people online making the dumbest arguments for Makar this year. It isn’t even remotely close

    well written

he has been simply phenomenal this year and it’ll be disgusting if they don’t give him the Norris.

this data to be honest should also put him in the argument for hart, but zero chance there

Quinn is fucking amazing. I love watching all the little things he does. His edge work is unreal, zone entries, breakouts, possession – dude absolutely nails all that shit.

Makar absolutely benefits from playing with Rantanen, MacKinnon, and it’s easy to see. Quinn is good no matter what, as the article explains. If voting for the Norris wasn’t about goals (let’s be honest, Norris is basically most offensive defenceman) Quinn would win by a landslide.

Uh, but Daniel – he’s two inches taller.

Hell yeah Dan, let ‘em have it!

Makar is an absolute all-star of a Dman, but this Norris race is a joke.
