Last year I was not a Kooch fan. Too inconsistent, too risky, he’d make incredible saves then let in two softies. His rebound control was nonexistent. He seemed like a player that got in his own head.
He’s completely evolved this year. Man plays straight from his balls but in a way that is (mostly) controlled. It’s so rare that he lets one in that I think he really shoulda had. And his ridiculous saves have gotten more ridiculous.
I fucking love watching him in net. He’s so animated and so passionate and you can see how dialed in he’s become. His goalie coach must be great, but you know for a fact he puts in 110% effort toward his own improvement.
