There is nothing more humbling and also humiliating when the D just “stands” there to lay a massive hit timed absolutely perfectly like this while wrecking the forward. It looks like Ekholm just stands up to Rantanen but it’s all timing. He doesn’t loose his footing or try too hard to leave his feet. This is a perfect hit. Wow. As a D man myself, this is SO satisfying to watch!
