@Maple Leafs de Toronto

1. Doesn’t iihf immediately blow the play dead when there’s contact to the goalies head? The league will probably implement this if goalies start to get hurt

  2. Goalie clinic always pointed out in my rvh to keek your chest up and take as much net (like connor hellebuyck in last clip) if they commit to the shot gotta tuck your head in so they cant bank it off you.
    These are professional goalies compared to my minor hockey days, im not trying to be ill tongued, I think the goalies may be getting a little lazy and to concerd abt the pass. These goalies are 6'2"+ and half the net is exposed on those angles

  3. I would not say goalie masks protect well, they are doing their best would be more accurate.
    which is why you don't shoot for the face.
    I think we will see fighting over this shot if it becomes common/ or is done too hard

  4. There actually is something that can be done about it. In IIHF tournaments, the play is immediately blown dead if a goalie is hit in the mask with the puck, for the protection of the goalie. Adopt the international rule. They adopted no-touch icing before the NHL did.

  5. Crosby has been doing this for years. I’m sure most of the attempts here were inspired by watching Crosby highlights.

  6. honestly, we need to bring back more grit and make this shot punished. Its full of skill but its also dangerous to goalies. Imagine doing this to brodeur when scott stevens was on the ice. you might have to celebrate your goal in the hospital

  7. The goalies are trained nowadays to put themselves in that position; I cringe whenever I see any goal scored below the face-off dot, because all a goalie has to do is just narrow their stance and stand next to your post to cover the entire net from that angle. Goalie coaches need to re-think this strategy; I 've seen so many bad, 100% preventable goals scored like this; Even a 5'6" goalie can stop any shots below the face-off dots by just standing there.

  8. This is due to the fact goalies now are taught to do low post seals instead of standing on the post like the old days. This is the pressure on the players to increase scoring so they are taking advantage of that open space that’s available with the goalie down. Blame Bettman not the players!!!
