En 2018, les Capitals de Washington ont atteint les séries éliminatoires de la Coupe Stanley. Ils ont battu les Blue Jackets de Columbus en six matchs, dont quatre en prolongation. Les Capitals ont ensuite affronté les Penguins de Pittsburgh et, après des années d’angoisse, ont finalement franchi le deuxième tour et se sont qualifiés pour la finale de la Conférence de l’Est. Les Capitals de Washington n’étaient pas allés aussi loin en séries éliminatoires depuis 1998. Les Caps ont affronté le Lightning de Tampa Bay dans l’ECF et ont traversé une série épuisante de 7 matchs. De cette série, les Caps ont remporté les deux premiers matchs et ont perdu les trois suivants, ce qui faisait des matchs 5 et 7 des matchs éliminatoires si les Caps avaient perdu. Les Capitals ont pris le dessus et se sont envolés pour Vegas pour affronter l’équipe d’expansion de première année, les Golden Knights de Vegas, lors de la finale de la Coupe Stanley. Et le reste appartenait à l’histoire… Je ne possède pas les clips utilisés pour réaliser ce film.     brings me to tears every time. My girlfriend still doesnt understand the years of anguish as a lifelong caps fan Ive gone through. She was so confused when I cried that night.

    Mr. Steele I say this with absolute certainty, this video was in my opinion the best bar none! Somehow you managed to capture every emotion we as Washington Capitals fans have experienced thru many playoff victories and of course the miserable soul crushing defeats. Well done. Very well done!

    That save by Holtby at 2:42 shows why he is one of the best goalies in the NHL. Look at how he waits for the shooter to take his shot before he reacts. Then look at how close the shooter is. It’s amazing because so many goalies make the fatal error of reacting 1st then the shooter picks his spots. Simply amazing

    How sweet was this knowing this was probably least talented squad in the last 10 years. But the best TEAM we had. Everyone just did their job.

    Try going in order. you had a clip during game 4 then jumped back to game 2 and it wasnt not in order. The timing was all off.

    It's Pittsburgh (misspelled on this video) but I refer to them, of course, as shitsburgh. So Pittsburg is probably less offensive 🤣
