  1. Let's face it, Evander Kane is a grotesque liability for Edmonton right now. He is -4, second worst on the team and has 83 penalty minutes, the most by far, handing power plays to Oiler opponents. Do you think there was a reason the entire roster of San Jose Sharks refused to take the ice with Kane? I say send him down now and bring up a younger kid with more speed and skills to help line 3 in the playoffs.

  2. You know, I saw a lot of people on twitter saying that this is a sign (coupled with something earlier on in the season) that Kane has worn out his welcome in Edmonton. Which simply isn't true. And look, I'm not going to pretend like I know what's said behind closed doors, but from what we do hear, Kane is liked in that locker room. As is Perry. And Perry is a guy who knows how to win, and wants to win. To me, this isn't two teammates having a spat. These are two guys who want to win, who care to win, showing that level of care. And if anyone has doubts, based on what they're seeing here, the I ask you to go look at the two goals Kane scored vs Colorado on Friday, and tell me Perry doesn't like him. Or that the team doesn't like him.

  3. As I said on X love and hate having cameras everywhere. Kane made a bad play that let them get caught out there too long when he could’ve made an easier smarter play. Good on Perry to let him know and good on Kane for not yelling back or anything. The Boys are competitive (and Perry too old to be caught out for a long shift😂) and want to win and make each other better. Tough look but I’d assume not much to really be worried aboot here

  4. I agree I think they’re just passionate about their chances to win this year and it’s a good thing when guy hold each other accountable

  5. Edmonton gets all of albertas top 3 picks. It was the deal calgary made years ago. Its the only reason Edmonton lets them exist.

  6. I think Kane was zoning out and he's once again distracted with some off-ice issue or just simply not taking this as serious as the other guys are. Give him credit for taking the criticism, but this is now twice in recent games he's been ripped into by two key teammates in public during national-wide broadcast games.

  7. Good insight on the Perry – Kane situation. I bet it's frustrating for Perry to not see Kane making basic plays around the boards but the fact is that these are two bigger guys that could dominate cycles if they're in sync.

  8. 80s Oilers picked great veterans to help on the cup run. They are getting better and better. It's very close but I think they will get a cup this year.

  9. Players argue on the bench and in the dressing room all the time. I wish the media would just leave it alone.
