Cheap access to games is a great thing

  2. ACDunne

Not to split hairs, but he’s also not playing tonight. I haven’t seen a cheap ticket to a leafs game in my life.

  3. No-Material-23

A beer costs more than a ticket !

  4. chaos0xomega

Teams pretty much all but officially eliminated from playoff contention after what is probably the most cursed season in NHL history (a series of major injuries to core players, historically bad goaltending from a revolving door roster of netminders, two players arrested for gang rape, etc. And all that after all the pre-season hype of the team being a major contender). I’m not surprised that tix for the last few games of the season are being sold off for peanuts.

  5. rainbowcouchpotato

    it’s because he’s not playing tonight I guess 🤣

  6. PagingDrTobaggan

If you’re going to beat what he said into the ground, maybe get the quote right? That people pay to watch him play (as opposed to watching him fight/sit in the box).

  7. amber_0311

he’s not even playing tonight lmao

  8. Crafty_Ad6656

Imagine making a post trying to clown a player, while actually supporting his claim since he’s not playing that match. Can’t make this shit up

  9. seatega

Jack isn’t playing and ticket prices nose dive. You’re proving his point?

  10. DaeWooLan0s

Wow I would be at games a LOT if that’s what they cost in Chicago. Win or lose, it’s a great way to spend an evening

  11. The_Stank__

Wish our prices were this low lately

  12. Starscream147

We got to see the Devils and Sid at The Rock for $44. For two.

I’ll take that all damn season.

  13. Takhar7

In a world of « TICKETS ARE WAY TOO EXPENSIVE », mocking cheap tickets seems distasteful & stupid

  14. Ceilingistalkingtome

Damn I wish. The SAP center is half empty every game and the tickets are still fucking $45 each

  15. rob1nthehood

OP fucked up the title and the point is still garbage. Who the fuck complains about low ticket prices?

  16. CryptoSpyro

To be fair he ain’t playing tonight XD

  17. Ashamed_Blood3242

lol youre mad about cheap prices? Okay bud

  18. DokeyOakey

You know he’s out of the lineup tonight right u/svdm99 ?

  19. EweCantTouchThis

This is why I don’t support any efforts to “grow the game.” Growth = higher ticket prices

  20. element-123

Haters mad that we have cheap tickets i go to 30 games a year for less than $500

  21. Nice_Wolverine_4641

I wish tickets cost that much

  22. DreamerTheat

Time to support the Devils. I wish I lived over there!

  23. Plumbercanuck

Could prob drive to jersey and back cheaper then we could catch a game in toronto🥺

  24. yosoyboi2

I would love it if oilers tickets were that cheap.

I’m an oilers fan living in Calgary, and I either spend $300-$400 for a pair of BoA tickets or I can pay $150 in gas and $200 for a pair of oilers tickets against a team no one cares about.

  25. jkman61494

Major L for OP who is proving Jack’s point

  26. centraljerseycoaster

Also he ain’t playing so what’s your point?

  27. nexus6ca

I’m paying $500 for 3 lower bowl tickets for the last Canuck home game…

  28. The_Wata_Boy

My team has been terrible for years, we’re in last place and were the first team eliminated from the postseason. These same tickets would cost 10x this…

  29. Grand_Chief_Mathieu

Also, quote was taken out of context.  Moving on.

  30. midas282000

Being that he won’t be playing (injury) it all makes sense.

  31. eldonte

I would go the Barclay Center when the Islanders would play there for $7-10 a game. Go to your seat, enjoy for a bit, and then go find a seat of your preference. I’m a Flyers fan, and went several times when I lived in the area. Got to sit right behind their bench for a couple periods one game. Devils games were a bit more, but every time I went there I had a blast. The fans there were cool with me in a Flyers jersey. Rangers games were so expensive, even for a preseason game, and the fans were pretty brutal.

  32. Mysterious_Ant3095

Wait till this guy finds out Jack Hughes isn’t even playing

Also you missed the $6 ones last game

  33. No_Seaworthiness790

Same seats for Jets at Stars are going for $30. We’re top of the conference, fill our arena, *and* we don’t pay through the nose. Paying exorbitant prices isn’t a flex.

  34. Fuck-Antelopes-261

Still the most played out joke of the year. It’d be funny if that’s what he actually said

  35. uluvmydadjoke

Okayyy if im ever in NJ im going to a game

  36. sirhellaz

OP this did not pan out well for you at all you idiot LOL

  37. Spade18

    He’s not playing tonight… so
You’re kind of proving his point

  38. daxtaslapp

Bro $12 thats crazy. If that was at sba everyone would go everyday

  39. Pezekiel97

I’m sure this has been pointed out before, but that quote has been taken out of context. After Arviddson threw an elbow at his head, Jack got heated and started the exchange with, « Are you trying to play or hurt people? » Followed by, « because people pay to watch me play. »

But of course the media only presents the latter half to get more clicks, and all the mouth breathers latch onto it without question.

Also aptly pointed out, Jack was shut down for the season, scratched as of tonight’s game, so if he did mean it the way everyone wants him to have meant it, his point has been proven.
