  1. Scoring 70 goals won't matter since the Leafs will lose in the first round again. This means keeping track of who scores the most goals is pointless and worthless since the only thing that matters to fans is playoff success. Individual player awards like the Rocket Richard, Hart and Art Ross are loser awards since the only award that matters is the Stanley Cup. All other awards are consolation awards for the losers that don't win the Stanley Cup.

  2. Unless he does manage a hat trick in a game I reckon he will finish with 67 or 68. Chances are too he will sit the last game for sure of the season. Maybe even the last two.

  3. He'll do it. The buys are going to sacrifice wins to tee him up as much as they can. Watch the Leafs lose a couple all because mitch decides to pass to Matthews when he should have shot.

  4. Let be predict something he will score probably 80 goals but… NO Stanley cup 2024😂😂😂😂😂 Matthews is not a playoffs player

  5. I hope he does it but its looking tough. He desperately needs a hat-trick game or two two-goal games quickly.

  6. I think he needs to get a hat trick or two two goal games. And then he'll have a great chance.

  7. next 3 games are devils, devils, wings – typically very high scoring games. id bet he gets it done in those 3

  8. lmao nobody gives a fawk bout gaygirl Laughews! That shit means nothing when you bring your purse and high heels with you in the playoffs. smfh Maple laugh fans are the worst fans in any sport!

  9. You know I think the guy should be focusing on getting ready for playoffs and resting if he's banged up at all. The 70 goal mark I think would only be signicficant to the point if he scores 70 a second time. So lets say he plays high minutes for the remaining games and he gets 70. Then if he never does it again he won't really be viewed as a 70 goal scorer. Scoring 70 of course is a big deal but not as much as one would think. He would be viewed in his career as 50 goal scorer bc thats what he consistantly does in his career. Scoring 65 goals is something to be very proud of man. To me 65 or 70 is not much difference. I also noticed his improvement since begiinning of season with his skating…much stronger on puck and his edges. I don't think his play overall has much to do with Marner being out of line up. It might look like that though.
