1. I just want to say I saw this coming a mile away, I saw all the good teams we had to play and thought ohh right in time for our annual end of the regular season no show lol this is Deja vu of the end of 2022.

  2. I am a fan of JAnnu, who ever starts in the playoffs will have my back. Its a team effort and nothing else 🙂

  3. It has been tough to watch. The team that won the cup, played a tougher style of game, pressure the puck and grind. We can’t pass the puck and don’t know how to spell defense.

  4. Kyle, your logic really shocks me: If the Avs get more than 4 goals it is ALWAYS Georgiev’s fault! Without Georgiev, they would have been 0-4 behind after 10 minutes. They lost yesterday because 4 defensemen sucked: Manson and Toews were horrific and Girard, I am not wasting my time any longer, even Makar was far off his best. When Walker and Johnson are your best d pair, you know what the problem is. I can only agree with Coach Bednar: Georgiev played well and wasn’t at fault for any OF THE DALLAS GOALS! And the coach should know it better than you, Kyle. There is only one option for the playoffs: Georgiev is the goalie as long as he is healthy period. No discussions!

  5. No no im so sick of the this is how the 2022 season endded conversation, 2022 ended the way it did because we clinched the WEST not the central the whole WEST like 10 games early , we rested our top guys against teams playing for a playoff spot which lead to that god awful end to that season, this year we only clinched the playoffs, we lost the division, and were still in a dig fight against Winnipeg for home ice and this is how were playing, i hate to be the doomer but realistically they have 4 games to get into gear and thats not a lot of time

  6. play juice the next 3/4 minni ,jets and oilers , everyones always like oh he didnt play good teams thats why he did goood . well lets put that to the test pls

  7. ya the double minor replays were sus , i barly caught it but it looked like walker lifted the guys stuck and his stick hit his own face not walkers ,another reason why i hate the broadcast crap , were at home and we dont get our feed like come on , all year on sportsnet ive got like maybe 10 feeds of altitude

  8. Admittedly im not sure what we expect from a team who doesn't show up half way through the game. As dallas had what, 16-17 shots by the end of the first to avs 6…they need to start showing up on time or at least earlier than half way through the second.

And secondly one reason why i don't like being hard on georgiev is because im willing to bet that when he signed they told him he just needs to sit pretty and stop 20-25 shots a night…because the Avs offense were the ones who were supposed to be on the other end of the ice popping 40 shots. By all means georgiev imo is doing what hes supposed to do and thats being quote on quote "good enough" not great not bad just good enough.

And yet to me it seemed like he was the only one who really showed up on time against dallas and the team infront of him let him out to dry. Not saying it wasn't his fault at all for the loss. some goals he let in i thought he could've stopped liked the first one, if he didnt bite probably would have stopped it imo. But i digress those are my thoughts.

  9. adin hill never played one nhl game till he was on vegas as a 4th stringer and won the cup , is that not a "rookie" id say so ,turn the juice loose, you only get playoff exp one way thats by playing

  10. Can't stand this team right now. Why is our bottom 6 so bad? We can't count any goals from the bottom 6 on any night. Dallas bottom 6 has like 3 times as many points as ours.

  11. The broadcast said there was blood on the ice but you want them to shove a camera in Benn’s face to really get a good look at all that blood…wtf? lol

  12. Chris and Kyle love to talk stats when it comes to Mackinnon and the Hart trophy. But hockey is a team sport so let’s talk about the last three starts by Georgiev who has allowed 16 goals in those 3 games. Right now, Annunen has let in less goals than Georgiev. I say Bednar will play Annunen tonight and Georgiev on Saturday against the Jets. We will see Annunen play against Vegas. Sean Walker is a bad defender compare to Bo Byram. The defenders of this team is half the reason why the AVS record is 1-3 this month of April. Exciting games seen by these eyes this month of April. AVS only going to play 11 more games this 2023-24 season. You can take that to the Bank. Awesome Sauce

  13. Bednar SAYS positive things about Georgiev because he HAS to; he has no choice. Georgiev is not a mentally strong guy. It’s not a knock, it’s just a fact. My wife lets things roll off her back more easily than me. We are different people. The FACT is that Georgiev does not have confidence. He gets down and gets angry. Much of this is on him. Allowing the first goal in so many games is a pattern, not happenstance.

  14. Bednar was actually quite complimentary of Gorgy's game against Dallas. Giving up 6 goals is hardly something to write home about but, in fairness, that 4 minute penalty is what killed us. Hard to blame the goalie for that but Dallas sure made us pay.

  15. I am actually optimistic for several reasons. 1) this is likely the last run for Cogs, JJ & Parise. Gotta give 110% 2) Guys playing for new contracts in Mitts, Walker, Yak, JD & Doo. 3) NK51 still hiding in the bushes. 4) Nuke redemption. 5) Who's your Goalie? Georgie isn't done by a long shot & Juice is the young hotness. They will bring out the best in each other. 6) Depth! 14 starting F, 8 starting D (w Malinski), 2 starting goalies. The 1996 Avs had similar depth & it made guys play hard to avoid being healthy scratched.

I'm excited to see which of these underdog storylines comes true & who takes it personally & takes it out on Winnipeg to begin! This group is focused on the ultimate goal & can't wait to get the post season started. I stand by my Game 1 prediction of a blowout 7-2 style!

  16. Thought you boys were too harsh yesterday, and not harsh enough today. It averages out to bang on, I guess :^)
Don't know if you can call this 'garbage time' before the playoffs – fighting for home ice is .. well, very serious business.
However. This ship will be righted, no matter how freaking frustrating these last two games were.
Was also disappointed in ESPN not showing any video whatsoever to defend/explain a double minor call. Sometimes it seems they shy away from showing anything too…violent.
Oh here's my rendition of the eclipse: (

  17. That's a real interesting theory about trust between the goalies and the d. It's not uncommon for teams to play better in front of their backup but maybe the d just has a better read on where Justus is weak and it's easier to defend that weakness. Georgie seems impossible in that area because it's often the soft ones that he can't handle so how the hell can the d fix that?

  18. I don't think Mack is as concerned about the Hart as we are. I'm sure he wants it but I think he's more concerned about being fresh and healthy for the playoffs

  19. Georgi-Sieve is a known commodity at this point. As someone mentioned – Aidan Hill won it as a rookie last year. The only way you get playoff experience is playoff experiences. Let it ride with Juice. Worst case is he has some Georgiev-like performances but he gets some playoff seasoning.

  20. MacFarland could have gotten Quick last season as a backup, this season Allen – both times he did not act.

  21. Unpopular opinion but it's true…Cale Makar has been playing like an absolute pu**y. And going into playoffs he BETTER score out of his mind because he's not defending for shit. Barely makes any hits all season. Half ass-ing it lately on the PK (WHY are our best guys taking chance of being on the PK??). I harp on Girard all the time but THE TOP PAIR is the ones who are untrustworthy right now. Very limited confidence in this team going into the biggest part of the year.

  22. Kyle, get glasses because you did not see what Coach Bednar and all the people in the arena saw: The defense screwed up and NOTHING on Georgiev. Oettinger or any other top goalie would have had the same result. It is disgusting to hear you blabbering the same shit over and over again. Why don't you go and do it better? Let Annunen play against Dallas and we will see, like in Tampa, horrific! Thank God, Coach Bednar is not listening to your nonsense!

  23. I criticized the GM on a fan page for not addressing the goaltending issue and got absolutely freakin' howled down by dozens of angry fans. I haven't seen a shred of evidence on the ice to suggest I spoke out of turn, and nothing to change my mind.

  24. Dang it’s toxic in this comments section today, LOL

Here’s my take. They’re definitely sputtering to get to the finish line and it’s been tough to watch recently. However, they also just went on a 9 game heater and looked great for most of it. This team knows how to get it done in the playoffs and I think/hope we’ll see a much better version of the Avs once the playoffs do start. Lots of folks think they know exactly what’s going to happen (spoiler: none of you do) and the only thing I know with certainty is that I have no idea what’s going to happen. Every team in the west has looked great and has looked like crap at points throughout the season. Flip a coin. Heads they show up and go on a run. Tails, they get bounced in round 1 or 2 🤷🏼‍♂️

  25. I am so sad that Frankie is not in the position to take over #1 from Georgie this year. He was always there for us when we needed him (well, when he was healthy) and could step up beyond what most backup's can do. He went undefeated for us in the 2022 cup run for cryin' out loud! He was between the pipes as we closed out 2 series.

  26. The avs D-men are to small to remove opposing players from in front of Georgi. Manson and johnson are certainly capable of removal but makar, toews and Walker are all very talented players but on the smaller side and not able to handle big forwards that set up camp in front of the net. Girard seems like the odd man out here as his offense isn't really needed and he is very small for a D-man.
