Sad how R Smith ruined such a large part of Geno's season. I want to smack that inept, lazy waste-of-space when i see his goofy smug-looking face. I'm 46 and have been watching hockey nightly since 1984 (raised a Rangers fan in NY). Smith and Graves are two of the worst signings I've EVER seen.

Scoreboard didn't bode well for us. But just beat the Isles and the Wings and they have a high chance.

Jeff Carter must have something on Penguins execs….because there is NO REASON he should be in the league, let alone a starting spot on one of the 4 lines….he HAD a very good career….the operative word is HAD….hell i think I could do better on the rink than he does now…..AND I'M NEARLY 15 YEARS OLDER THAN HIM!! the best run franchises NEVER have dead weight like Carter on a roster….and when you hire nitwits like Hextall to run your team, you deserve what you get….Dubas never should have taken the job in Pitt….hpw are you gonna be a GM and can't do GM s**t? 🤷🏿♂️
On the positive hand. Goaltending improved a lot. We've got 3 decent to very good defensive pairs instead of 1. 3 young players included. It's not longer a 1 line offense with this new 2nd line. The 3rd and 4rd lines are at least more functional then a year ago. For the short term I think it will help when Harkins gets back on the 4rd line.

Sully should have been fired 4 years ago. Carter hasn’t earned anything.

Over the last 8 games … Reilly Smith has the same xGF% as DOC (50%) and is a tick below Crosby (51%), and Smith has a higher HDCF% (56%) than both Crosby (50%) and DOC (52%) and Rust (50%). Sooooo… either Reilly Smith isn't playing as bad as reported OR you can throw analytics out the window and just stop following them. Make your choice. LOL
