Terrible missed call, but if they showed up for the first period isles would have been long dead by this point in the game
Yet again the refs ruin a game, its a hard job but that was the most obvious boarding to call

It's almost as if Refs have been instructed by Bettman to not call dirty sh1t so that the Saturday lunch time re-match at MSG will be another Brawl-fest and Rempire State Building gets another start.
Not sure why Ranger fans are so angry, this makes a typical Trouba or Rempe elbow look like a love tap.
Sometimes I feel like the refs just want to go home and will let damn near anything slide if it means they get to the locker room sooner. Pathetic!!

As an islander fan we know very well when refs miss calls. Hockey god karma. Playoffs watch out its gonna be worse. I doubt 10 secs wouldve changed anything anyway. What about the failed icing call in the second. Us isle fans were like wtf! Or the faceoff illegal

In football, the refs could call holding on every play…but, they don't. Works the same way in hockey. Besides, Trocheck knew a hit was coming and braced himself accordingly. He's fine…
Typical Rangers and their fans crying like little school girls! Like even a penalty would’ve likely made a difference in the outcome of the game with less than 10 seconds left. And they were only in the game up to that point courtesy of scoring only on PP goals, and the Isles missing a penalty shot on top of it. Accept the loss and stop whining like little bitches! Rangers got lucky the first game with the Isles who blew a three goal lead in the third period, and should’ve lost that one too. They’ve gotten outplayed in these two games by the Isles and they expect to win both of them! Lol 😂. Would love to face the Rangers in the playoffs as I know that they would be praying not to face the Isles in the first round. That fancy season record will be out the door the moment the puck drops if the Rangers face the Isles.

I just don’t understand how they miss that call and then kick 2 players out the game 😂 at some point refs need to be held accountable by the league or accept a player yelling at them when they mess up that bad. The play where the goalie just takes out Vesey was pretty blatant too that they missed.
Islanders deserved the win, but that non- call was brutal.

That was a disgusting missed call. I couldn't believe they didn't call that. It would have made it 6 on 4 in the islanders zone. And if you think "Oh what would 10 seconds have done?!?" Then you shouldn't be watching hockey. Goals have been scored and games have been decided in far less amount of time. That was disgraceful. We got Saturday to get them back
The refs let the Dobson call go to make up for the call they missed when Zebanejad slew footed Palmieri. The Zebanejad/Pelech collision wasn't even "viscious shoulder elbow to the head" as Laviolette described. And the threat of bringing in Rempe who was a healthy scratch to make a difference in the next game? Bring it on! He'll take a dumb penalty and probably be suspended again.

I don’t know how the NHL can not hold these officials accountable. The league will be so much better when idiots like Sutherland and McCauley are gone. Nothing likely happens off of that penalty, it was very late in the game. But how it’s not called at all is truthfully just stupidity.
Kelly Sutherland needs to lose his job. He’s always been such an awful ref and last night it was brutal. He also missed an interference call on the Isles third goal. And he was awful with dropping the damn puck the entire time. I swear it felt like half the faceoffs this game a player got kicked out for both sides.
