A championship team takes every single action accountable… no Bullshit it's simple.. it's look at each other in the room and say not acceptable… we 180 right now or Fu*** pack our bags and book your tee times…
This team again does not understand how to achieve greatness but mediocre instead…
Basically what I'm trying to say is I don't think the right things are being said… to achieve the next level.
As much as I love Ehlers and what he brings, I just don't think there's room for him. We've got McGoraty (LW) likely next season and Barlow (LW) the season after that. Where would Ehlers fit long-term? To me, it makes sense to trade him (with extension) for a legit top-4 right-shoot defenseman with some term left. That would make a lot of sense.
Jets looked like pylons in the second and third period. They were lucky. Team is going to tank in the first round because they're PP still really stinks. So predictable can't even get in the zone with the puck. Same goes with the PK. Standing around instead of pressuring. They will tank. They should NOT be trying to find their game now. That should've happened 10 games ago. POINKY does DONKEY mistakes he's awful. Jets relied on 37 too much. That is also a mental issue of the Jets that has haunted them since he's been in net.
If the jets are “all in” and are serious about winning like they all say they are then pionk shouldn’t be in the lineup. He’s been dreadful for many many games now. Teams are drooling when he’s out there I’m sure. Loses coverage, poor zone exits, not great as a penalty killer, adds very little offensively, looks slow (maybe hurt?). Seems to be a mile long leash on him. Miller should be playing and the rest of the pairs can remain intact. The forward line combos are bizarre and as soon as ehlers plays poorly it’s back to 81 55 which makes no logical sense. This isn’t the time to be playing favourites and worrying about egos. The best play and those who don’t need to be scratched!!
