  1. The same people calling for Yzerman's head if he didn't trade for Debrincat are now going "Debrincat is such a bad contract what are you doing Yzerman?!" Fuckin silly…

  2. Idc it’s gonna happen a player in a slump but when a player of DCAT skill level just cause he’s in a slump does not mean to take him off the number one power play and for him not to be on the ice when we have a extra attacker also ik last night was a big game but I believe this Pittsburg game is the biggest game we lose we are out but i believe with a win over pens we will get in also caps have a tuff schedule remaining LGRW

  3. Well……if Lindgren did not make that last save, and the Caps still won the game, why would you say that he made all the saves he needed to make "except for the last shot of the game"? He didn't need to make it lol

  4. If he has "only 1 points in his last 5 games" and "only 6 points in his last 10 games" doesn't it mean he had 5 points in the 5 games before the last 5?

  5. DeBrincat has always been a Red Wing killer. 30pts against them in 20 career games. Compared to 60pts in 78 games while playing for them.

  6. I can think of numerous small players who scored goals long before DeBrincat or Cole Caufield……In no particular order and from different eras just on the top of my mind: Brian Gionta, Martin St-Louis, Theo Fleury, Boom Boom Geoffrion, Henri Pocket Rocket Richard, Yvan Cournoyer, Ted Lindsay, Marcel Dionne…..and. I'm sure I'm skipping over amazing players right now

  7. Is DeBrincat disappointing from the goals vs. dollars perspective? Absolutely! But the entire team (and coaching) is responsible for only winning 5 of their last 19 games. If they were winning games as team (and didn't choke away the season), this DeBrincat issue might be a general conversation, not the absolute crisis that it feels like now.

  8. Senators get:
    Debrincat
    Blackhawks get:
    2022 #7 pick—Korchinski
    2022 #39 pick Ludwinski
    2024 High 3rd round pick (#71-73)

    Redwings get:
    Debrincat
    Senators get:
    2024 1st (mid round)
    2024 4th (mid round)

  9. Caufield has the exact same stats this year and we don't see everyone throwing rocks at him, obviously people expected more goals from him but it's nice to see him work on other part of his games other than scoring goals

  10. Well who figured the oldest player on the Team has been the most productive, cat was a complete flop was hopeful he could help carry the Wings to the playoffs boy was I wrong .

  11. Debrincat is not the problem. Wings had a 6 on 4 powerplay last night at the end of the game, and the coach didn't even put him on the ice. The problem is coaching. Need better D and MUCH better coaches.

  12. It's tough, I really hope debrincat can find his MOJO again, when he was scoring alot he was at high 3 percent shooting per game now he's only getting what 2 shots a game. Maybe 2 more shots a game and he would have more goals

  13. I think when Alex had to drop his gloves against an opponent , his atitude totally changed. Then they trade Klim at dead-line, don't blame him in the least. Nobody and I mean nobody on this team looks ourt for their team-mates. Look just finish the season. Go into the Draft lottery { we're due} get a high pick and maybe keep on rebuilding.

  14. No it's definitely not Debrincat that is the problem. It's the coaching staff and where they place him within the lines that is the problem. Even the announcer last night against the Capitals made the point of not putting him on the top power play line! I mean they want to put Peron in there instead??? They are not matching him up properly with the right guys this is a coaching problem! I'll also point out when he was scoring a ton of goals he was matched up with the right teammates then they decided to switch the lines up??? I get that they want to get other players more involved but honestly why keep switching up lines that work seriously 😒

  15. They had better odds adding him than using than success with the 30th overall draft choice that now belongs to the Sens (through Boston).
Had SY not made that trade sending Boston's pick to Ottawa I suppose he would have used that 1st rounder drafting yet another dman anyways.

  16. Idk the team isn’t performing great around him and it’s the first year with the team. Players don’t mesh right away all the time. 7.875 mil isn’t awful for a guy who contributes 6 of 8 games. Let’s do a shitty comp for my line of thinking. Palat was getting 5.5 on some good term a while ago and the cap was lower when it was signed. He wasn’t a world breaker but he was a damn good 2nd line winger. Replace with Johnson if you’re gonna say size. What I’m getting at is it’s not an over pay imo. It’s a fair deal and over the term it’s only gonna look better and debrincat is a great piece that yzerman got cheap and the deal will age well.

  17. Yzerman spent too much for too long on both Larkin and Debrincat. Larkin isn’t a Stanley Cup C and Debrincat is likely a bust. These guys are 2nd or 3rd liners on a cup team.

  18. I acturally don't see anything wrong with him. Yes he's not scoring like he should but he hasn't scored like he should in 3 years. He's a playmaker more then a pure scorer. Yzerman knows what he's doing, nobody's perfect except in people's minds who sit on a couch watching replays over and over and over. I've been in the mindset since yzerman got the job it take at least 6 years with the way the shelves were stacked when Holland left. I'm going to start to panic end of next year. We don't even have a goalie yet nor a defense let alone a pure scorer.
