The league NEVER looks at dangerous plays against Ranger players. It's open season on them all the time.

  2. Pelech wasn't surprised. He knew the contact was coming. His elbow was high. He over-acted after contact. He held his hand up immediately to say I didn't do anything. It was brilliantly disguised.

  3. the comments section is hysterical. Brian Boyle is spot on with his comments. Mika skated right into Pelech. Maybe keep your head up and watch where you're going? The Dobson hit should've been called, give the Rangers 13 seconds of 6 on 4 lol

  4. the best 4 th line we had . was with rempe and edstrom… we are not going far with vesey -goodrow -brodzinski

  5. Pelechs elbow was high & i thought mika should have kept his head up @ first but now my mind has changed it was dirty he was a scumbag all game long also

  6. As a TV viewer, it was difficult to really see intent deliberate or not. However I think I’ll defer to the professionals who were there – on ice – along with their experience and ‘back stage’ knowledge to know best. Arm Chair quarterbacking isn’t very attractive. With all that said, I hope the NYRs come out with a very hard edge next time these two teams play.

  7. Yeah Brian, nothing to see there when you want to look the other way.
"Cleverly disguised" describes the Pelech accidental on purpose hit situation perfectly as far as I'm concerned.
BTW, what's the point of staying in the way of a guy who is not dangerous at all to score if you can avoid the collision.
    Keep your head up? Bullshit!
Yes Pelech could have avoided the hit very easily and he should have.
That being said Brian is doing a good job in his new duties. But I don't agree on this one.

  8. Pelech saw Mika coming across and skated to that spot and PUT HIS ELBOW UP. If he stood his ground, ok. But he clearly RAISES his elbow before contact

  9. Dobson's hit was a boarding penalty, but there is no way that Pelech's hit was anything more than a collision. Laviolette and a few Rangers fans need to be honest with themselves. If Trocheck gets injured on that play, I'd say it needs to be reviewed, but it was just a missed call. I thought Zibanejed deserved a penalty for slew footing Palmieri earlier in the game. Refs miss calls and you move on.

  10. WHERE THE HELL WAS REMPE? Wasn't this the exact reason we got guys like Rempe? NO PUSHBACK after the VUCIOUS hit on Trocheck. Why has Rangers management refused to play him consistently? I'm so sick and tired of this organization that's TOO SOFT and in turn make the team WAY TOO SOFT. TOO SOFT!

  11. And yes the Rangers should do whatever they can to finish first in the conference (I don't care about the President's trophy). My eyes are on Tampa since I realized that it could be the first round match up and I don't want that at all because, well, 2022 and 2015. 🙁
I am cheering for Detroit in the mean time to grab the second wild card. This match up would be the best outcome for the 1st round. Washington or Pittsburgh, not so much either.
So, let's put the Flyers out of their misery tomorrow, take revenge against the Islanders saturday and beat Ottawa to wrap this up.
    Not that hard to do.

  12. should be 6 games v division, 3 v other conference teams, and 1 or 2 v other conference. playoffs should be 1 v 8, ten reseed

  13. I am old enough the remember the 1-16, 2-15 etc. experiment back in the days. That was fun.
That was totally logical for me. But the first round was a best of 3 at the times. No room for error.
    I liked that though.

  14. Agree Rangers just win these last 3 games and secure 1st seed in East.
Forget revenge, just play hard and beat these 3 teams that we should beat!
    LGR!!!

  15. Pelech wasn't even looking at Mika, they collided. Lavy needs to take a look in the mirror when he says it was a dirty hit, and he coaches guys like Captain Elbows Trouba and Elbows JR. Rempe

  16. pelech was braced and holding his elbow high and was ready to absorb the hit..that's all the evidence I need

  17. I don't know too many hockey players that are standing at Center ice and you could see him pull up a little bit with his top hand elbow up I played hockey for a long time not professionally but when I'm waiting for plays to happen if that's what I'm if I'm not in a hockey position my arms are relaxed and they're straight and my stick is down by my by my thighs that didn't make any sense to me at all.

  18. Zibs hit was interfence. Didn’t see intent even if there was. Trochek is a blown call by a ref staring at the play and defending his non call. That one really is bad for the NHL. If that had been Rempe hitting someone he’d have gotten a game misconduct and a 5 day suspension

  19. Peters after game interview, was uncomfortable to say the lest. I really thought he was going to cry and actually had a hard time accepting the Rangers lost. So use to winning and can’t accept a loss, is bad. Pelech does not play dirty, ever. Peter should re-address this vicious hit and apologize. Peter did not not look upset at all on the bench after the hit,so what’s that about. It’s the loss.

  20. I've been a Rangers fan since I was born, but I gotta call a spade a spade. The "hit" on Mika wasn't a hit. It was a collision pure and simple. You can't skate in one direction while you're looking in another in the NHL. You will pay for it, whether it's on purpose or by accident. Mika was staring to the right while he was skating forward. Had he been looking where he was going he would have been able to avoid the collision.

  21. I remember back in the original 6 days through 1970-71 season the 1st place team played the 3rd place team with 2nd playing the 4th so let’s say nhl playoff format has history of not being fair.

  22. If Rempe was in the lineup, I doubt this would not happened or at least make someone pay for those cheap shots
