Friendly reminder that Jason Smith (stay at home defenseman who was only captain for one year) and Chris Pronger (who only played 13 games with the C) have more goals as captain than Couturier. It was clearly nothing but a nepotism decision from his old teammate Danny. Because I don’t know any other reason why a washed guy who’s about to go on LTIR for the rest of his career should have been named captain. If you think back on the year, that along with the Hart mess was the major tipping point.

You got this far and this is something to celebrate no matter what happens. A true fan will always be behind you – not criticizing when things are bad and cheering when things are good. They just cheer you on and enjoy the ride with you. 🙂

This was a rebuild year. Would it have been nice to say you made playoffs yes but team does not have enough to win stanely cup .
Tippett and forester proved they can score at this level.which is a good sign for future.
