Finally the dubas soft era is over, If they can find a way to dump shanahan they may be a legit post season team in the coming years…but man that leaf defence is awful. Florida will be tough to get through.

Curious to see if the same thing happens as in previous playoffs with #34. Put an actual player on him and he disappears. He doesn’t seem to be creative or skilled enough to create opportunities for himself. Stick a guys on him and he’s useless. I hope for Toronto’s sake that Marner and Nylander play well and Sammy is strong in net. Those 3 are the most valuable players for TO moving on

A team wins a Stanley Cup every year but it’s been about 30 years since a player scored 70 goals. I don’t know if that’s any solace for Leafs fans. Meanwhile, on the Devils’ side, Timo Meier has been knocked all year but he’s closing in on 30 goals. I know his plus/minus looks pretty bad, but he’s producing all right. I think the Devils will be good again next year.

All of these flaws the team has could have been fixed last offseason and at the trade deadline. Tanev, Walker, Saros, Merzlikens, Markstrom but no he brings in two third pairing defensemen and what else? Another forward. Any senssible person can see that this team is NOT good enough.
