Hey brother. Just wanted to say thank you for what you've done this season. It was, for me, the worst since the 1988-89 season, where the expectations were so high, but the results were so bad. Yet you brought such light and fun to what otherwise was an epic failure. Thank you so much for your great approach and for making all these rough nights bearable. We can only hope 24 like 89 was just an anomaly and the start to a long run of post seasons like the ones that started in 89-90 (95-96 notwithstanding.) Cheers. Kevin/Kearny.
It’s a lot further along than people think. You never know what will happen but I’m telling you there is activity happening to be able to give this a try after the season. Let’s hope because it sure would mean a different look starting next season.
I mean who knows what Brady is saying behind the scenes. Maybe he wants to come to the States like his brother? Maybe he is frustrated with the situation in Ottawa? There is the family connection with Fitz. I agree, he is exactly what we need up front.

Like the idea a lot – just wonder where the money would come from & worry about what they'd need going the other way. Maybe trade out Palat + Holtz the other way? Wonder if they'd take that. That way it doesn't screw us out of up and coming good talent in Mercer/Casey/Nemec and doesn't touch Bratt, Hughes, Timo, Nico or Haula. It's imperative Fitz goes big game hunting for a top A grade goalie as well!! Can't forget that. You'd be assuming 8.8m also for Brady, and then a goalie at 6-7m? The money gets a little sketchy thereafter but we'd be scary! The beautiful thing nobody has talked about…we also are gaining back 2.325m just for dead cap in Cory Schneider + Kuokkanen so that's money we didn't even have last year plus the cap is rising.
It's a pipedream that's not even worth thinking about. The Devils are bettier off finding diamonds in the rough like Vegas has been so adept at doing. Unfortunately, I don't think Fitzgerald has a good eye for talent.
If we could get Tkachuk and Juuse Saros to the devils, I would have to change my opinion of Fitz. This is going to be an interesting summer.
Trade up in the draft and try to get Cole Eiserman.
I don't see us giving away 2 firsts and probably some combination of 1 or 2 of bratt/nemec/holtz for big baby tkachuk. We do need aggression and passion, but Smart, Calculated aggression. We also have built this team in the draft, I'd be more willing to save the money for a goalie and roll the dice with our picks. Maybe that pushes our cup chances back a year, but we have a great core and bright few years coming, we don't have to rush into anything, we cant just buy our way to the cup, that only works for tampa.

This was my first season as a hockey fan. I'm from Alabama and chose the Devils for two reasons. Seinfeld and the Jersey Devil legend. I know it doesn't make sense. It was a tough season. You sir, have provided so much information about hockey. There's always next season. Thanks for all the videos.
I would absolutely love him on the Devils! Will I think it can happen not so sure as Fitzy may not dive in. The devils in my opinion still get taken advantage of because Big Mac only goes on the ice every so often as a 4th line. Brady on the other hand can play and contribute more minutes effectively for the team.

Brady would be perfect here. You're right it won't be cheap, plus the Senators need the same things we need: defense and goaltending. If he's real eager to get out of there, it might lower the price.
The Core would be dismantled in order to acquire Brady Tkachuk. I think there are players we could part with but it would hurt. Like Nico or Nemec could potentially be going the other way, in addition to picks and prospects.

Would love Brady here but I’m not sure what goaltender we would get if we were to go out and het Brady. If we got Brady and Markstrom I would definitely take that, if Brady doesn’t work out then we obviously go for Saros/Ullmark. Would really really hate to see Bratter go but if Ottawa wants him for Brady it may be a no brainer. We will see what happens. I’m very excited yet also very nervous for this off-season. We can only hope!
I agree 100%, but will never happen. Unless they accept like an offer of multiple 1st rounds, plus a few top prospects/established players. I have in mind Mercer, Holtz and any prospect from down the line. Who are our untouchables? Nico? Bratt? Meier? Hughes brothers? Hamilton, Nemec?
I wanted Matt when he was available. I’d be pretty stoked if Brady was traded to the Devils, as long as Bratt doesn’t go. Honestly, I think Bratt is our best, most consistent player. Last 3 seasons 73,73,82+ points and he has only missed 6 games in those past 3 seasons. Last year and this year he will play 100% of the season. We need Brady and him on the team together. Give up whatever in draft picks and tradable players.
My untouchable list is 13, 86, 43, 63, and 28. Anyone else can go since they can easily be replaced, minus Nemec. Nemec is the only not untouchable that I would hate see go, because he is going to be a great d-man in the not so distant future. What is Ottawa going to do with Bratt that they couldn’t do with Brady? They need to start over and hopefully they want picks the most.
I’m not going to get my hopes up till something happens. If the Devils land Brady, I believe our only option is Markstrom. Is it worth it? Or is getting a top tier goalie and grittier support players better?
I understand that it would take a lot to get him but some players have more to do in jersey I think. Trading holtz, mercer and god forbid bratter is a huge loss even if we get Brady. Idk who else we could trade.

If you want a 6-7 mil extended goalie as well, youd have to send something like Bratt, Casey, 1st and 2nd. Tkachuks cap hit is 8.205. Bratt would almost cancel that out and then there is room for a goalie and 2 bottom 6 guys.
