They weren’t talking about Chytil, Tim was talking about his own experience.

We haven’t gotten any info since players on LTIR don’t talk to the media. We’ll see what Chytil says when/if he gets taken off

The way the injury happened. I would not be surprised if it was a neck thing. It seems very possible

What does he mean by numbing his nerves? What exactly did they do to him?

I’m real life experience of this. Went to countless doctors doing all sort of testing for headaches and vertigo issues.. saw one new doctor who probably graduated the week before (he looked 12), who focused on my neck as the source of it all. One occipital nerve block later and I’m back to how I felt 5 years ago before the issues

I was just talking about Crosby in another thread. His continuing symptoms were indeed discovered to be a problem with the mechanoreceptors in his neck. I don’t know exactly how you fix those, but I think it involved balancing and strength exercises.

We simply haven’t been told if this applies to Chytil, but in general, a better understanding of the injury should lead to more effective treatments and prevention of future issues. 🤞

I think the Rangers A.Did not want to get peoples hopes up and B.Knew if he did come back it would not be till the playoffs so if they needed that money to take a swing they could .
