ESPN is an awful viewing experience. I groan every time the Stars get on the national broadcast. Late start times mixed with too much inane chatter during the play. You also hear bias in the colour analysts which just adds to the general confusion of the broadcast.
I haven’t felt that sick about an Avs game since game 6 against Vegas in 2021. This was brutal. At this rate Winnipeg’s sweeping us. I just hope anyone but Vegas wins the Cup at this point.

Colorado has been unable to defeat the Jets all season. The Jets have outshot the Avs 17-4. I recall Shannon saying "I don't see the Jets able to beat the Denver based Avalanche" I think it's the other way around.
It was good to watch the Jets go into Colorado and blank the team that will be eliminating us in the first round.
I'm honestly hoping this is just the Avs easing off late in the season so they're not tired when the playoffs start, but if that's not the case, the Jets are looking like actual Cup contenders. That, or both teams will be playing golf by the end of round 2.

I actually think the Jets win tonight is going to backfire now that they're meeting Colorado in the playoffs. I think Colorado is gonna be pissed, and I smell a sweep for the Aves

Welp, the Avs season is over. Zero chance they win more than 1 game in the first round, and that's being generous. No captain, no defensive structure, no goaltending.

As an Aves fan this was one of the most disappointing performances I've seen in years. It didn't only seem like the jets were out playing us, but we didn't even care to play. We had too many reckless turnovers that turned it to chances for the jets, too many penalties and not a strong enough PK. I think this game is the worst we have played all season, and it was so sad to watch

Hey, It’s okay, Shannon. You couldn’t watch it on ABC till they came back from break, not right after the NYR-NYI game. I don’t get why. I was able to tell because I had my phone on while in my seat, and they didn’t put it on while action was in play.

Its funny im actually less worried because of how the Avs are losing, its straight up a lack of focus and you cant expect to beat elite teams that way. I fully expect a completely different Avs team in the playoffs and a hard fought 7 gamer against the Jets.

As an Avs fan, I'm not confident at all for the playoffs : it's one thing to lose 7-0, it's even sadder when it's against the team you'll face in the first round, a team who swept you during the season btw…. I just hope they wake up from that one and figure it out next week or it's gonna be another early out. Tho as a canadian, I'd be ok with who ever moves on

It is absolutely shocking that the Flyers didn't just nearly make the playoffs, but they have a winning record at home AND away. I am so proud of how they played this year with the Hart thing, and Gauthier being a punk, and all the other distractions. If they didn't have several people just take the season off, and a 20th place power play, they could have been dangerous. It would be nice if the Caps game meant something, but they dug too deep a hole last week to hope that hard. One of those games going in as a win, and this would all be much more stressful.

I drove over 3000km from rural Saskatchewan to Denver, to spectate my first home Avs game, I've seen Colorado play in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Buffalo, Detroit, and NYC. I've been an Avs fan since the Pat Roy trade in 96, I was 7 years old.
First time in Denver, and I've legitimately seen my little brother's under 7's team give more an effort. Georgiev needs a 10 year KHL stint. Why is Rantenen 6'4"? He may as well be 3'4" with how irrelevant he is on the ice. Majority of peewee kids are more physical. If the Avs are paying him $50 per year, its too much. Rantenen makes Nik Antropov and Alexi Ponikorovsky look like Tie Domi and Darcy Tucker. I've never seen someone so big, and so weak.
