@Canadiens de Montréal

[Eric Engels] Luke Tuch a une offre de contrat des Canadiens et on me dit qu’on s’attend à ce qu’il prenne une décision, dans un sens ou dans l’autre, à un moment donné au cours des prochaines 24 heures.

    anyone know what is the decision he needs to make – ? Is he in his 4th year and a free agent come July or something .. ?

    22 year old. Second round pick. 6’2”, 216 lbs.

    Not a spectacular prospect, but could probably play in Laval next season.

    I think a third line of him and Florian would be killer

  4. he showed enough promise this year that i hope he signs

    can skate and has size, with some good development he could be an effective depth player in a couple years

    That’s the risk you take picking someone outside of Canada that has bottom 6 potential.
    It’ll take an extra year or two to develop so they’re not in a rush to bring him to Laval and the player is not in a rush to change leagues.
    With that said, it’s probably not a place he wants to sign considering he has the option. It’s most likely hard to say no with everything they currently have in place as far as player development. Most likely a clear plan presented to Tuch too on what they think his role can be and even help get him there.

    Montreal is the perfect team for him to show off his style of play. We have FloJack and no other forwards that play a grinder style (apart from Pezz)

    Primadonna BS already from a guy with 4th line upside. If he doesn’t sign, it’s not like we’re missing out on much.

    I haven’t watched this guy play at all, but maybe the habs feel like his game will work at the nhl level? There’s tons of guys in the nhl who weren’t top players in their league or on their team.
