The funniest part is that their players spent months talking about getting revenge. This mattered more to them than us so they should get mad at their own players for not showing up lol
Canuck fans are way more hard on the team than Oiler and Leaf fans are, I’ve noticed. The Oilers could get swept 4 straight in Round 1 with McDavid scoring 0 goals and being -8 and the fans would blame the refs and say the Oilers weren’t trying anyways because they know this isn’t the year and they’re more focused on winning it all next year or some shit. If/when Toronto loses in Round 1 their fans/media will still be yapping about Matthews scoring 70 which is basically their Stanley Cup at this point. Meanwhile Canuck fans will crucify Pettersson for being « invisible » in a 90 point season and act like the sky is falling if the team loses in a back to back on a Wednesday night in February.
