Quinton stays with L.A !
Yeah no LOL
I don't see LA splitting with him, and signing him for 9.5 screws up your negotiation power with Slaf
$9.5 range would be 2 early 1st compensation; correct? A little steep but I kinda like it.
LA would even match an 11 million dollar OS, he isn’t leaving
Nobody leaves LA willingly
Shouting out SDPN, I love it 👏
No one offer sheets it's a known rule between gms only 1 clown 🤡 did n didn't even try for real he actually just helped them sign a good contract
It's a crazy idea but this could be cool to have the tower of power as a trio.
I would do it why not he's big and can score go HABS
Did Montreal not learn their lesson with I believe it was AHO that offer sheet cost them Kotkaniemi not that he's been fantastic but was someone that the Habs coveted on their roster and was at the time still highly touted those moves don't do any team any good
whatever the opposite of "remember this is a BUSINESS" is.
I’d be happy with throwing 10 million at him. Rebuild would be over.
Kopitar is going to make $3 million less in the next two years because his extension was only worth $7 million a year from his original $10 million. That will definitely help and make its way into Byfield's pockets. I do see LA not re-signing Arvidsson which frees up another $4.25 million as well.
My concern is being able to re-sign Matt Roy because he is criminally underrated. Jordan Spence may get a 1-year bridge deal.
I just want my Kings to keep Byfield and Roy. I don't see Arvidsson, Lizotte, Lewis and Kaliyev coming back. Also, with Akil Thomas now starting to make his mark, could he be given an offer ?
Terrible idea….What the heck are ppl thinking. Never got 20 goals, never got over 53 pts ? HARD PASSS FOR ME
i never think this will happen i dont think LA ever gives him up to an offersheet or even trades him, but i do think it would be funny, because you would also have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall pick on that line, put them on a d pairing with reinbacher and you have a 5th overall aswell we would only need a 4th, everyone knows pokemon, gotta get em all
Leave L.A….. unlikely. No amount of money will bring him to Montreal. Where would you prefer to be.
Never ever going to happen.
Don’t make me dream !
Then LA does it back to back to Slaf, Ghule and Dach
CLICKBATE CAPTAIN
It’s nice to dream!
Go 10 million. Cap is going up. Price's salary will cover the cost. Draft picks are only a chance to get a Byfield. Why not get the real Byfield?
Byfield would make the Habs a playoff team next year.
I say lets do it.
It would be dumb for montreal to try…..
Imagine a Dach-Byfield-Slafkovsky line? Good luck NHL.
This is stupid, would make more sense to go after Martin Necas. Carolina can't afford him, MTL can.
Hughes would never offer sheet, he is too wise.
As a Habs fan… I don’t want HuGo
to offer sheet anybody
(with all of our great prospects of our OWN we’ll have to re-sign at some point
Because if you offer sheet a player from another team…
You expose yourself to have
OTHER TEAMS
offer sheeting YOUR guys in the future
even if just as a Revenge move
as past history has shown us
..hm hm.. Aho then KK .. hm)
BUT !!!
Wouldn’t mind if HuGo inquired to the Kings
for a TRADE !!!!
for Byfield !!!
LMAO kings will not get rid of him. Theyve shown that time and time again. Also why would they?
Fake News!!
GKG!!!
😂😂😂😂 LA would never let that happen. Rob Blake would be instantly fired if he did.
Its not worth the time or the grudge you create imo. If LA has the money they will match.
Hey guy this has nothing to do with this conversation but Krebs would be a great fit in LAs system. Make it happen I’m telling all of you Krebs is a stud in a losing system
Yeah, Kings fan here. At 9.5 I’d be angry at Montreal but match it. The salary cap is going up, Kopitar’s salary is going down a few million, Roy is probably leaving. If they let Arvy go, they can make Byfield the 1B line center and bump PLD with Byfield. Then move Danault to the 3rd line. By the time half of that contract is up, Byfield would be a gigantic discount. (Especially when in 2 years Kopitar takes another likely pay cut)
It would take more than 9.5 million. And I’d offer sheet Montreal in a few years when they are pushing against the cap. (Which both will happen)
