[NEXT DAY]_Thread 82/82 Islanders chez Devils 2024.04.15

La fin est officiellement là 🙁 Quelqu’un veut-il encore parler du match d’hier soir ? En commençant par les Diables, j’espère que tout le monde passera une super intersaison ! Nous y reviendrons en septembre.

I already miss looking forward to the next game despite putting up an embarrassing effort.

Very sad feelings today. So many teams with playoff match ups in mind and lots to be decided still and our season is done and dusted. Everything that could go wrong this year did go wrong and worse. That being said, I am 100% certain the devils are back in the playoffs next season. See you all there, hope some of the really negative posters here take the summer to relax.

This is probably the least sad I’ve been for a season to end. When we sucked, i was able to just watch for the rebuild and enjoy meaningless hockey. Those seasons weren’t great but they weren’t frustrating either. Now, being about 5 points out for the entire season holding faith that every game would be the one that would turn it around was just exhausting. I’m just excited to start fresh in October, given that the rangers don’t win the cup

That was an incredibly appropriate cap to the season.

Well, we’ve got some work to do in the off-season. The fact that we’ve got a core of really talented dudes to build around didn’t change. Just need to find the right support players, and a coaching staff to build systems to use our strengths. Easy to say, hard to do, i know, but this season was a learning experience for the whole organization. A temporary setback in all likelihood.

Boys have plenty of time now to get their heads on straight and come back stronger next year.
