We really had every opportunity to make it this year. Didn’t show up when it mattered and this is the result
yeah we plain didn’t deserve it – every time the door was open they refused to walk through it.
The playoffs were well within reach. As said we just never showed up for the games that were important. Team needs to be more competitive and confident

Your regulation record is all that matters in terms of who « deserves » to be in the playoffs. Washington was much harder to beat in real hockey.

Caps are ass. Take solace in the fact that they will be humiliated in the first round
Look at the point totals from the Atlantic top 3 and then Tampa in the WC and compare it to the metro top 3, and the last WC spot. It shows how much of a meat grinder the Atlantic is.

I mean sure that sucks to look at but at the same time – every single time we had a chance to even get close to a playoff spot we shit the bed. usually in back to back loss fashion (or at least it feels like that atm). I’m sad and annoyed, but definitely not feeling unlucky that a team like washington made it over us
