@Capitals de Washington

#NHL #hockey #faits saillants #washingtoncapitals #philadelphiaflyers #montrealcanadiens #detroitredwings

  1. With all due respect, Flyers shat their pants on the final stretch of the season, they have nobody to blame except themselves

  2. Torts didn’t know that’s such crap. Are you trying to tell me they didn’t know the wings were down by a goal with seven seconds to play he knew that.

  3. Caps have more losses, less wins, and a negative goal differential by a lot. Congrats on losing in OT more Caps! The NHL is a complete farce.

  4. the caps have no business in the play offs how can a team make it with a -37 differential? They need to remove the loser point.

  5. Washington were so lucky (playing against the desperate Philadelphia in the last game). Not fair for Detroit, of Philadelphia playing without goaly at the end, and losing the game because of it.
But it is really Pittsburg actually, that should have been there in the playoff (were it not for that stupid trade that made the team depressed and lost big, several games in a row, before being able to collect themselves again. But that is where they lost the momentum and the one point or so missing in the end.

  6. That puck would never have gone in if the whistle hadn't been blown. Lindgren relaxed when the whistle was blown. Yes, perhaps the best regular season ever.

  7. Worst Season to be a Goalie or Defenseman everything is Offense now might as well dont have any Defenders and just make this a shootout who can score more in 60 minutes.

  8. All the Red Wings had to do is beat the caps last week. Capitals showed they were the better team by beating Tampa and Boston. Detroit could barely beat Montreal.

  9. My fuckin' Habs choked twice in a row, David Perron is a guy I hated everywhere he's been, yes and he's been in my 2nd favorite team, Pittsburgh and 3rd team Detroit (it used to be Detroit was second but when they switched conferences and landed in the northeast division or the Atlantic as it's called now….they were now in direct competition with MTL which, sorry, they were not going to stay there, plus they Datsyuk retired too early and everyone that was the core of the team was real old or injured to retirement and they started to suck, what is it, 8th season in a row with no playoffs, or 10? I think last time they made playoffs was 14-15, so 9 I guess).

David Perron is a homeboy from Quebec so I should like him, but he's always been ruining my stuff, and he did the worst thing possible to me yesterday with that 3 second left goal after a bullshit icing call! That combined with Philly pulling their goalie at 1-1, yeah they needed a regular time win whatever, but no way they didn't know Detroit were on their way to OT.

All of this causing the Pens to be ghosted out, after that last 10 game streak where they only lost one game they shouldn't have (vs Boston), and Boston losing against Philly and Washington in the last week, ffs, the hockey gods hate me. Now the only team I care for left is Edmonton and those games are gonna be laaaaaate, they are now my third favorite team but holy ** yesterday was a nailbiter, my heart is totally fine, completely healthy and I felt my blood pressure spike like when I was a kid playing Doom for the first time on my friend's beast PC (a Pentium 100 🤣), I remember my ears getting red from feeling so stressed out, I was almost there yesterday when Sprong scored, that was a bad omen.

At least now we know the Habs will/can be a playoffs team next season, they lost about 25+ games by just a goal, Dach will be back, and they're gonna sign somebody who's an RFA and those amazing D-men that are coming in, I'm glad Matheson and Savard will be there next year, Matheson had his best season ever, and that's mostly because Pittsburgh was so deep when he was there, he was on the 2nd PP unit, we'll have the elders to teach the kids and we have so many fuckin' good prospects.

And I feel Sid's pain. Long ass post, by that was my closing thoughts on "our" season up in MTL, and how my second favs got screwed by destiny, not choice, if only they played like they did after christmas the way they did before that…I hope they crush the Islanders 9-0 just for the hell of it.

    P.S. At least Matthews didn't get 70 goals, ha-ha.

  10. Don't want to hear from Eastern team's fans about strength of conference after a team with at max 39 wins and a -18 and another team with 40 wins and a -37 goal differential make the playoffs.

  11. awful point system.

    red wings
    penguins

hell even the sabres.. all deserve the spot more than the isles and caps bozo teams

  12. I think the NHL needs to revisit this dumbass point system. It’s so weird looking at the standings, seeing the wings with more wins, and yet the caps advance. It just really cheapens the OT/SO wins you fight for throughout the season. It’s an oddity in a sport that winning isn’t enough, you need to win a certain way.
